Noelle's POV:

Today is the day of the competition and I'm really nervous. Today is the first step towards my goal. I'm currently sitting in the dressing room. I'm dressed and my hair is done. Auntie Haruhi is doing my makeup at the moment.

"Okay so today Noelle I expect you to go on stage and wow the judges. This will be your first solo on this team and depending on your performance it could be your last. Go out there and make sure they never forget your name"

"Don't worry Miss Talia I'll be sure to bring home a win" she nodded

After my makeup was finally done the team went to take their seats while I got a better pep talk from Auntie Haruhi

"Okay you're gonna go out there and rock. No matter the outcome know we are so proud of you. You improved the most out of anyone I've ever taught. Remember you are good enough and you're amazing"

"I'm good enough and I'm amazing" I repeated

"Good now I'm gonna take my seat" she kissed my forehead and left

I went behind the wings to wait for my turn

"Now welcoming act 204 One more time"

That's my que . I take a deep breath and walk on stage. I get into position and the music starts

3 minutes later

I walk off stage and everyone is cheering and clapping.

I went back in the dressing room to meet the team

"That was amazing" the moms from the team told me

"If you show that much effort all the time you'd have a solo every competition. I never imagined you could dance like that and now that I've seen what you're made of I'll never give you a break. Your technique was more advanced than any girl on this competition team. You made it look easy good job" this is the most she ever complimented me

"Thank you that felt amazing I never thought I'd feel this good from a dance"

I talked with the girls we went outside to watch the other solos, duos, and group routines. This week we didn't do a group number. We've just been practicing for our national group routine.

It's time for awards and I'm praying I've won 1st. Even if I don't I know I did my best and now everyone knows what I'm made of.

"Now to announce 1st overall Junior Solo! Drum roll please... Act number 204 One More Time" I jumped up and went to the front to collect my trophy

After the awards were over I ran off stage to my family

"Look" I held up my trophy

"You were breathtaking baby. I just wish your outfit was longer" dad told me

"Shorter outfits highlight her long legs. They'll rarely get longer than this" auntie Haruhi told dad

"You were so good my favorite part was the spiny thing you did at the end" daddy praised me

"Yeah my teacher has never seen me dance this good she says now I can get more solos" I smiled

"Yeah then you can skate again" Wyatt cheered

"Yeah im doing a Jazz solo at nationals"

"We can't wait. Now let's get some dinner to celebrate your win. What do you want"

"Ohhh let's go to Santagato's I want pasta" he nodded and we left
