Wyatt's POV:

We're waiting on nonno and I'm nervous of how they're going to react. They didn't tell him over the phone

"Mr. Lombardi please come in to my office" the Counselor asked

"Hi Wyatt" I didn't look up

"Hey Nonno"

"So why was I called in"

"Well there was a report of abuse in the household"

"Wyatt isn't staying with us and his parent are away"

"Well he's been staying with his other grandparents. If we have your permission can we have him undress. He can stay in his underwear"

"Wyatt undress" he ordered which made me flinch

"I don't want to"

"Please Wyatt we need to know"

I sighed and began to undo my shirt. Once I did I heard a gasp. Then I undid my pants and I was down to my underwear

"How did you get those marks"

"The stairs are brutal sometimes" I dryly chuckled

"Ash cmon"

"The belt"

"Why didn't you say something"

"They said they'd blame it on daddy and dad"

"He needs to see a doctor"

"Look Im fine" I looked up by accident

"Your face and neck"

"It's my fault I moved when he was correcting me and he hit me in the eye. My neck is from the rope they use"

"They choked you"

"Not directly, when they tie me up and I'd struggle it would tighten"

"This isn't your fault Wy"

"I guess" I shrugged

"You look thinner"

"Yeah im not allowed to eat or drink but my abs still rock hard"

"This isn't a time to joke Wyatt" Mr. Morris said

"Then mind your own business" I growled

"Wyatt"

"Can we just move on it's not a big deal"

"Yes it is, this is one of the worse cases I've seen"

"Well this isn't the worst I've ever experienced" I smirked

"Wyatt what happened"

"I'm adopted, something had to have happened before I got here" I said in a duh tone

"Take your pictures and then tomorrow Vincenzo can take him to the hospital"

"Okay that works"

After my photo shoot we went to the car. The ride was quiet until Alessio broke the silence

"You could've came to us"

"I guess"

"You know this hurts us too right" he asked

"Look Im sorry" I said agitated

"We just wish you would've told us sooner. The first time he hit you, you should've came to us. We don't want you to suffer you don't deserve that. It just hurts knowing that we failed to protect you" Nonno spoke for the first time

"I accepted that I wasn't going to survive the second wave of abuse. I didn't tell you because it was easier to die all alone than leave a loving family behind"

"Do you wanna die" Alessio asked

"Sometime, but don't worry I won't kill myself because then I won't see mom again"

"Your mother would be so proud of you Wyatt. You're so resilient"

"Thank you for loving me"

"No need to thank us"
