Chapter 16

Beomgyu POV

"Seriously, it's okay if his parents are home! I'll go tell him" says Taehyun as he went off to Yeonjun. Kai and I stay silent until we hear Yeonjun's voice echo through the house.

"Soobin?"

I look at Kai, who's eyes light up in an instant.

"Soobin hyung?!" he says as he jumps up and runs to the door.

"You told me only two people" I mumble as I join the others.

The person at the door is a literal giant whose purple hair is just as bright as Yeonjun's or Taehyun's, and although he has a smile on his face, Junie seems pretty freaked out.

Tae and Kai welcome him in and Yeonjun presents me yet again to this other friend, but I already know him: it's the guy who left to Busan, and who is in Yeonjun's photo.

I tell them all this little info and Soobin smiles, his dimples showing so much I almost get jealous.

Almost.

"You still have that pic?" says the purple-haired giant.
"I do. In the hallway" says Yeonjun, still nervous.

I wonder what's wrong...

"I saw it too when I was running around" adds Kai as he grabs Soobin's hand and pulls him towards the dresser the picture is on.

When Yeonjun sits beside me, I finally ask if everything is alright.

"He... Before he left... Before he left, Soobin had... a little crush on me and he thought we were dating. I just hope he's over it. I don't love him. Like, at all. He's a good friend but that's really it, and I don't want to hurt his feelings too much so I hope he's found someone else"

"I'm sure he has. But you're mine now anyways, and I'm not letting you go" I say as I hug him tight, ignoring Tae's smirk that I see in the corner of my eye.

"You judging?" asks Yeonjun once we break the hug.
Tae lifts his hands up like he's about to get arrested: "Chill, cop. I just think you're cute together, lemme ship"
"Fine" I say, faking a slight annoyance at his comment.

When Soobin and Kai come back, they both take a seat and Kai starts a new conversation, talking and talking to the point that no one really listens anymore. After a while, Taehyun shuts him up and looks at Soobin.

"How was Busan?"
"Boring. I missed you guys so much, so as soon as I got out of high school I decided to study back here to see you guys again"
"That's nice" says Kai, hugging the purple haired boy tightly.
"And did you find a uni?"
"I did. And it's a great school, too"
"Great" says Yeonjun, still seemingly nervous. By now, the other guys had all noticed, even Soobin, that something was wrong with my baby, but as soon as Kai asked, he said it was fine.

After a few hours, he still didn't seem calm. Taehyun had to leave to go eat his dinner, and Kai's father had arrived to take him home, so it was just the three of us left.

"Junie, can we talk?" Soobin said after a good few minutes of silence. I feel Yeonjun tense beside me and grabbing my hand tightly before letting go and standing up. Curious, I decided to follow them from far away and listen.

"Who is that Beomgyu guy to you?" I hear Soobin say.
"He's... uh... why?"
"Just tell me, I'm curious"
"A-Are you really?"
"Listen, you've been stressed all evening, I want to know what's on your mind"
"You'll get mad"
"Nah"
"Yeah you will"
"Tell me or I will actually get mad"

I hear a sigh coming from Yeonjun. "He's my boyfriend"

Silence.

"Your.... Boyfriend?"
"Yes Soobin"
"But... and me?"
"Soobin we never da-"
"Yeah we dated!"
"No, Soobin-"
"No! We did! WE DID!"
"Soobin you loved me but I-"
"We did date!!"Soobin screams, turning around in an instant, noticing me before I had the time to run.

"You.... Out-"
"It's my house and my boyfriend. You're just my friend and have always been. You've been in love with me for so long you thought we were dating, now stop" says Yeonjun.
"You're mine and only mine!" answers the tall boy, pushing me away and towards the door.

I accidentally trip over something on the floor, tumbling down. I look up at Soobin, standing over me.

"Get up and out" he says, looking ready to fight.
"B-But-"
"OUT" he shouts, stepping hard on my stomach, making me gasp for air. He carries me up and against the wall, ready to give me another blow, when he realises that I can't breathe.

All of a sudden, he seems to soften. He sits me down on the ground and looks around for something.
"Do you... need anything" he asks, guilty. I look at Yeonjun, wanting him to answer for me.
"He needs you to let him go. If there's someone you need to fight it's me" he says, pushing Soobin back, leaving me there. I watch helplessly as Soobin's anger rises again and he starts to scold Yeonjun again, while I'm still gasping for air.

"We were together, we didn't break up-"
"We did nothing" Yeonjun replies calmly.
"WE WERE TOGETHER, and you.... You basically cheated-"
"But we did nothing"

My vision becomes suddenly blurry and I start feeling unwell. I was out of air and about to faint.
"Junie.... Soobin"

But I can't see if they noticed me before it all goes black.

Are my chapters getting shorter?

Probably, but I didn't want this whole "friendly" meeting to be too long.

School's gonna start soon so I'm sorry if I don't post as much (not that I post much sorry)
