Negative.
The pregnancy test was negative.
Addy let out a heavy sigh of relief as she sunk down against the wall of the bathroom in the Burrow, resting her head back as she closed her eyes.
A large weight of tension became instantly lifted, the looming trouble vanishing.
There were other tests laying beside her, each one of them negative, indicating that there was no possible way she was carrying a baby.
She hadn't gotten her period in several weeks, which was concerning. It was a discovery to her, just a few days prior, instantly causing panic.
The last time she had slept with the certain person she chose to not think about, it was back in June, before they went on the expedition with Dumbledore for the horcrux.
Although the anti-pregnancy charm was said, there was always the possibility of it not working.
Addy had stolen the tests from Ginny, who had a large stash of them hidden beneath her mattress.
She wasn't sure where she'd gotten ahold of the muggle editions, but it didn't matter.
It was strange that her period had stopped, so she just decided to blame it on stress.
After a long moment passed, she willed herself to stand, gripping onto the side of the countertop to support her shaky legs.
She disposed of the evidence as she cleaned up, glancing up once at the mirror.
She barely recognized the person she saw; her hair, that had grown out over the past year, was cut to the point where it barely scraped her shoulders, out of courtesy of Ginny. They could've gotten away with dying it purple, but Callista stopped them.
All the differences she saw weren't necessarily bad however, considering that she was forced to go on a run every morning with Ron, which resulted in her being more fit than before.
It was Callista's idea, claiming that it would allow her mind to take a break from it's usual degrading thoughts.
The changes weren't just on the exterior; Addy didn't even feel like herself ever since June, as if a part of her had died in the Astronomy Tower.
The pain was too much, stabbing into her chest just when she thought she was going to be okay.
She spent the first part of her summer locked away in Ginny's room beneath her covers, refusing to leave other than visiting the bathroom. Speaking to anyone was a rare occurrence back then, her heart was too broken.
