Sirius and Regulus were having a staring contest.

Or so Addy thought when she entered the sitting room roughly a week later. She stood awkwardly between the two brothers, her eyes flickering back and forth uneasily.

Even though Regulus' true identity had been revealed, this was the first time he and Sirius faced each other in front of an audience.

"Can I- er, get you some tea?" Addy queried, raising a brow at them, "Or maybe eye drops if you're not gonna blink..."

Sirius scowled as he turned to her, but didn't reply. It was clear the knowledge of everyone aware of his brother's presence didn't sit with him well.

"Tea is fine, Adelaide." he grumbled coolly.

"Someone must've taken away your dog toys." Addy muttered, turning to leave the room.

She crossed the hallway to enter the kitchen, discovering Callista, Remus, and Mary all speaking in hushed tones by the sink.

They instantly paused at the sight of her entering, stepping back from one another and clearing their throats. She raised a brow at them as she approached the kettle, but decided to not prod about anything until they felt comfortable enough to tell her.

Addy reached up towards the cupboard above her to find some tea cups, distinctively remembering how Mrs. Weasley used all the teens to pitch in and help out with cooking dinner, back at the Burrow.

She scoffed at the memory of how Harry was surprisingly the best chef of them all, the only one that didn't burn anything nor cut himself with the blade of a knife. He always joked about how when he and Addy would move into their cottage, he would have to do all the cooking for her.

"I'm surprised Regulus and Sirius haven't been in a shouting match yet." Remus interfered in the silence, speaking to the other women.

Callista nodded, making her way towards Addy to help her with the tea, "They always sent spells at one another whenever they were angry, back at Hogwarts. Let's hope they've grown from their experiences."

"So, Regulus is really on our side?" Addy asked, lowering her voice to a whisper absently, "He wants to see the downfall of-"

"Yes, we're sure of it." said Remus, "If it wasn't for the soulmate bond, which resulted in him surviving, then he would've died trying to defeat whatever he was facing."

No one there knew about the horcruxes. Both Regulus and Addy had non verbally agreed to not inform anyone about them, although she was determined to question him about them sooner or later.
