"Alright, Sutton! Let's start with one of your new songs!" Katie said from behind the glass. "How about History?"

Sutton nodded her head as the music began to play.

Sorry, I don't really see this workin' out
It's nothin' you did
I just can't do this right now
No easy way to say this and I don't know how
It's nothin' ya did
But here goes lettin' you down

This song was definitely different from all her other songs, but it's one she's been working on for years. She finally had the courage to finish it, thanks to Charlie.

Baby, you're so perfect
But he's the perfect one for me
I know that you're worth it
But somethin' 'bout him gets to me
Gets to me, all I need
Plus, we got history

The music playing in her ears distracted her from how she could hear her own voice. Everyone in the room sat, jamming to her new song.

I used to love him, he used to love me
Yeah, we go way, way, way, way back
We love, love, love like thatNow, I still love him, and he still loves me
Yeah, we go way, way, way, way back
We love, love, love like that

Sutton continued until the song was over, smiling to herself. She was so excited that she had this opportunity to do something like this.

"Okay, let's do, talk me out of it," Katie said.

Blue, the lights we were under
When you took your phone out
And gave me your numberNow it's two
We've asked all the questions
We've done all the small talk
Now there's nothing left except

Taking shots, sharing lines
And spilling truth, oh
I wonder if you're gonna try to make a move
A move'Cause I'm 'bout to go to my apartment
But you could keep talkin' me outta it
My friends are leavin' the party
But I'm down for one more drink
It's my first time in this outfit (oh)
But maybe you'll talk mе out of it
Was gonna slow it down a bit
But you can talk me out of it
So talk me out of it

"Okay, two more. Go with Had me at Hello!"

I can feel you comin' from a mile away
My pulse starts racing from the words that you say
And you say so many of them like you don't have a clue
That I'm signed, sealed delivered with a stamp on

This was one she wrote just last night, after her date with Charlie. So many feelings had rushed over her after he left and she knew it would make a good song.

You don't have to try too hard
You already have my heart
You don't got a thing to prove
I'm already into you
So

She smiled to herself as she continued to sing. She was loving every minute of this and never wanted to stop. There was like this rush she got whenever she was in the recording booth and it never wanted it to go away.

Hold, Hold, Hold, hold me tight now
Cause I'm so, so good to go
Don't say, Don't say good night you know
You had me at hello
You had me at hello
You had me at hello
Don't say, don't say good night you know
You had me at hello

"Last one! You're killing it girl!"

Sutton smiled at the comment as the song began.

two weeks later

"Charlie, you literally have flour all over your face," Sutton laughed as the two made cookies.

"That's how you know you've done something," He chuckled, putting some flour on her nose.

"Hey!" She said lightly shoving his shoulder.

"What? You look cute with flour on your nose," He said grabbing her waist leaning in. Instead of kissing her, he wipes a handful of flour all over her face causing her to gasp.

"Charlie!" Sutton yelled as she threw flour on his face.

"You're gonna pay for that Mercer!" He yelled as she ran around the hotel room.

She ran, ducking in every room she could think of before he eventually found her, grabbing her by the waist and bringing her back to the kitchen. Charlie sat her on the counter and grabbed a washcloth, wiping the flour off her face.

"I think you got a little something on your face," He chuckled as he continued to wipe off the flour.

"Oh really?" She asked sarcastically.

"Yeah," He whispered as he leaned in, placing his lips on hers ever so softly. "God, the things I would do to you, Sutton,"

Her breathing hitched in her throat as she continued to kiss him. Her hands made their way to his hair, lightly pulling each time. The kiss became hungrier, each time the two wanting more. They were so close, but it felt like they were close enough. Sutton reached for the hem of his shirt, tugging it off. She took in his chest, so big and muscular. God, he was hot, she thought to herself. He reached for her shirt, taking it off and throwing it across the room. His mouth kissed every inch of her body, making her head lean back. She was loving every second of this.

"Sutton," Charlie whispered as he kissed her neck.

"Mhm?" She muttered.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
