Victoria's footsteps echoed on the sixth-floor corridor ground, as the girl paced around her usual way. Her black shoes, which she polished every two days, made more noise than anyone else's in the castle. She filled her prefect duties in a pretty cheerful mood, accompanied by Dina, who, like always, was scribbling something in her notebook when she should have been working on a Herbology essay.

''He's not coming yet...'' Dina quietly said when Victoria had checked the door that led to the spiral staircase to Dungeons.

''Hmm?'' Victoria mumbled, but Dina didn't reply, looking back down at her notebook.

Dina usually accompanied Victoria unless Gerald was near. Dina wasn't the biggest fan of him and, according to only Victoria, neither was she. However, as Dina had spent many evenings with Victoria that year, she had noticed something new about her friend.

Dina's eyes didn't shift from her notebook that had a pencil-drawn picture of a cottage hidden under the parchment of her Herbology notes until the door to the Grand Staircase opened and someone walked through.
