''Sorry, what?'' Billie asked, coughing

''Sorry, what?'' Billie asked, coughing. ''is there a problem?''

''Oh, of course not, just you kissing my brother, that's all,'' Lance replied, stepping closer.

''That followed the rules,'' Billie replied sharply.

''I know,'' Lance chuckled.

''Then why the angry tone?''

Lance scoffed and Avery put her hand on Billie's shoulder.

''Not even slightly pissed. I'd do the same thing with Avery or someone else,'' Lance said without looking away from Billie.

It seemed that Avery's name had only popped up because she was next to Billie. Avery's eyes widened and a laugh escaped.

''Just let it go, Lance,'' Billie replied, begging to walk away.

''As I said- not even slightly-''

Billie imitated Lance's voice as they walked away. Jacqueline lead them to a different corner of the room.

''Have you seen anyone else around? Should we just end the night here?'' Avery asked, stretching out and peering around the room.

''No, I really think that they went away. Not like them, considering that this is a big party,'' Jacqueline replied. ''do you think they're all right?''

''Can't say I care really about Remus anymore,'' Avery replied and squinted her eyes at Jacqueline.

As Jacqueline hugged Avery, comforting her, Avery noticed that Billie's gaze was somewhere else.

''You all right?'' Avery asked and Billie turned around.

''Sure,''

''Do you think he's upset because you kissed his brother?'' Jacqueline asked.

''Oh, please. I don't think he cares,''

''Do you care?'' Avery asked.

''About what? Him being upset? He clearly said he's not,'' Billie replied and shrugged. ''and neither am I.''

''You don't think Lance will try to get back to you?''

''I doubt so,'' Billie said and the three began moving to the exit door.

Meanwhile, Ben, quietly closing the door behind him, had finished battling his thoughts about whether it was a good idea to follow Sirius and his friend. After all, they were clearly not heading to a bathroom.

''Stupid wooden floors, always so squeaky around this place,'' James cussed.

Ben held his distance, hoping that they wouldn't able to hear him.

''Hey, guys, look! A wizard car!'' Peter said happily and let go of Remus' torso.

James cursed loudly, feeling Remus slip out of their hands. Ben held a laugh, seeing James' angry look when Peter picked up the card.
