"Does he know?" Mason questioned.
"Of course he doesn't. I can't tell him," Jade snapped.
"This is clearly about him. He deserves to know," Mason said quietly.
"We don't know that for sure yet. For now, it remains a secret."
Mason sighed and nodded.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ethan asked.
Jade and Mason swiped around, startled.
"We are talking about penguins in tuxedoes," Mason said quickly.
Jade rolled her eyes at him.
"Yes. Exactly that."

"How do you think we'll find the Ultra Weapon?" Mason asked Ethan.
They were alone and sitting on giant fluffy chairs that they took from the girls.
"I honestly don't know. Jade has all the equipment. I just hope we find it before the government does." Ethan sighed.
For a split second, Mason felt bad for Ethan. All the things he didn't know about himself. All the things he couldn't do about it. He decided to change the subject.
"So are you and Nova together?" Mason asked out of the blue.
Ethan looked startled and slightly surprised.
"No...definitely not. She wouldn't be into me anyway."
"Come on. You don't know that for sure," Mason encouraged him.
Ethan mumbled an unconvinced response.
"I mean, if you kiss her and she doesn't punch you, that's good, right?" Mason joked.
"She didn't punch me the last two times so-"
"Two times?" Mason asked, his green eyes wide open.
Ethan shrugged.
"And you haven't asked if she likes you? Damn," Mason stated.
"Can we talk about something else?" Ethan sighed.
"Sure. But I have to ask you something first," Mason said seriously.
"Yeah?"
"Can I be the best man at you guy's wedding?"
Ethan punched him in the shoulder as he laughed.
"Guys!" Jade called, peeking her head through the door.
"Have you seen Nova?"
Both of the guys shrugged.
"I actually haven't seen her in a while," Ethan said.
"She has to be around here somewhere." Mason considered.
They spent the next twenty minutes searching for Nova. Nova was missing. Actually, 'missing' was an understatement. She was terribly lost which could result in multiple deaths.
"Where the hell could she possibly be?" Ethan panicked.
"Wherever she is, she's probably with the Ultra Weapon, which means we could find them both," Jade said as she clicked some items on her smart pad.
"What's that?"
"I can track Nova with this. It can only be used once, for emergencies." Jade explained.
