I couldn't wait, it's just been such a shock to see so many interested in my work.
I just wanted to get an extra chapter out and also so I can thank everyone for giving my story a look, for leaving such heartfelt comments and posts on my profile too.
Thank you so much.

Revali didnt respond afterwards, he didnt say anything, instead he just twirled the vial around between his white tipped feathers for a few seconds before handing it to you.

"Now you definitely owe me one."

Before you could ask, he stops you.

"For the pain."

There was a small amount left of the liquid left inside so you down it without a second thought and retch with a shiver before wheezing out your words.

"God that taste is awful.."

"A thank you would suffice."

It took longer than before but soon enough, you started to feel dizzy but was only so much, leaving you a little dazed.

As you breathed in, what would have been a sharp pain but was instead almost numbing trailed across your chest, coercing you to lift the leather breastplate.

"You missed a spot."

There was a shallow but fairly clean claw mark beneath it, probably when a certain lizalfos got desperate.
Seemed like it got a lucky break.

"Damn it.. I guess I'm getting rusty.. sorry."

He chuckles, trying to hide his guilt.

"What do you m-"

"Early retirement... right, take it off."

He stands up, removes his jacket and rolls up his sleeves.
You then shake your head, adamantly.
"Not happening."

Daniel sighs, not wanting to argue.
"(Y/n)... please just work with me here so we can get this over with."

"But what about th-"

He stops you while unbuckling the straps of the breastplate, letting fall down and off the bed.

"I remember our conversation but I dont see anywhere else that is suitable to do this... it doesnt look like it will heal on it's own and it could get infected.. or worse."

He then stops and turns towards the others around the room.

"Does anyone know where I can get a needle and thread?"

"The brazen beak should have something!"

The inn keeper who had kept quiet the entire time stood out from behind the counter and rushed off, up the stairs and out of view.

"Thank you!
... ok, arms up."

You start to take off your tunic hesitantly but Daniel pats your arms until they're up.

"Ah ah.. Stop, you'll only make it worse."

He then slips the tunic off in one fell swoop, causing a rogue feather or two to slip from its interior and float down to the ground.
All you could think do was clamp your eyes shut, waiting for the inevitable.

"Godesses above, who did that to you!?"

There it is...

"Mipha... I dont think someone did that to him, something did that to him.."

You open your eyes and without looking, call out with boisterous, yet sarcastic voice.

"Im right here... god, it's like I'm back at the.. the hospital.."
