(To those who read the last chapter, I swapped around the last few sentences.
Not word for word but I'd rather not confuse anyone so apologies in advance.)

You fell into a routine you had forgotten, one that helped with pain you were burdened with throughout life.

With a brush in one hand and the other assuring that epona wouldnt kick suddenly, you began to give her coat a thorough cleaning.

"I have another question..Why did you refuse to heal yourself?"

"They dont know.. plus, I would never hear the end of it if Lilith saw.
You saw how they reacted just now.. imagine what they would go through after seeing something like that."

"You speak of your gift like it were a curse.."

You freeze upon hearing that word so badly that epona gave you a glance.. she instantly read you like a book.

"That obvious, huh?"

She simply nodded, waiting for your response.

"Remember when I explained the events of hyrule.. I left out the era were in because I dont know all of it..
I only know pieces of the story that's unfolding... hell, I dont even know if that's the case."

Mipha stayed silent, knowing you were leading to a very crucial detail.

"All I do know.. is that I'm not supposed to have your power or any of the others... they're meant for Link."

She stood bewildered by this information.

"I'm just as confused as you are.. and to top things off.."

You look around briefly, making sure the others weren't around before summoning daruk's protection.
The iconic sheild stayed, bolstered to your forearm with a few cracks forming around its edges.

"I doubt you'd recognise this but i-"

"I do."

She then leans in for a closer inspection, placing her hand against it and letting it glide along what would be the crimson bird.

"Only through tales passed down from king to king and books filled with long forgotten history."

"Then you know its his sheild.. and that this shouldn't be a shield to begin with."

She remained silent, almost idolized by it and what it stood for.
You then let it dissipate, bringing the both of you back to the subject at hand.

She then took a moment to gain some clarity before asking further.
"Where will you start?"

"I'm sorry?"

"Where will you start digging for answers?"

You raise your hand and begin to extend each finger along as you clambered the mess that is your mind.

"... I have four leads... no, wait... five leads.

One is in heteno.. Impa told keep me to meet someone called Purah.

The second is this photo.. it was sent to me somehow after the night we all met."

You then pull out the shiekah slate, along with the strange photo you were sent.

Mipha studied it closely, she made a few reactions, jumping from each on until she seemed to recall what she was looking at.
It resembled an abandoned quarry and flooded along the base, dotted with slabs of rock that some would say formed into a rough and absurdly large staircase.

"I believe I recognise this area.. it looks to be.. Ulria Grotto?"

"Is it close?"

"Barely.. it resides north of Zora's Domain."

"Damn.. well, at least I have a name now..
Anyway, the third is actually one of the residents here.. or at least I think so."

"How so?"

"Nothing solid but I think it's safe to say that my first visit wasnt my 'first' visit.. I got a very odd response from a rito when I spoke, as if they recognized something.
I wish I pursued the rito but I cant do anything about it now."

"The fourth?"

"I over heard a few townsfolk in the town speaking about someone.. said 'I thought he was dead.'"

You then pinch your nose, feeling pretty dumb for letting all of this slide, even if it were subconscious.

"I should really jump on these opportunities..."

"I cant help but agree.
You mentioned there were five leads."

"Right... the last is.. a different story.
Back to that night... Remember when we first met on that bridge, storm rolled over afterwards?"

"Of course, that was certainly a night to recall."

"Well, before that... Zelda had Revali pass on a letter to me and it had this sheikah slate inside..."

With yet another look of confusion, she waited to see where you went with this as you spin the slate around.

"Why me? A random individual who.. yes, came from another world and who has most certainly riled up a lot of questions but aside from that, has little to offer or anything to gain from.. who gets to use what is probably seen as an intricate and dangerous piece of technology..

It doesnt add up does it.. why would she do that?"

Mipha had caught on and was certainly intrigued too.

"Maybe she sees something no one else does?"

"Or maybe she knows something no one else does.."
