Back inside the inn, Daniel was tying some thread around a needle and douses it with the last few drips from the vial.

"Wait."

He stops and looks at you as you point to the back of your head.
Now that the adrenaline was gone, you could feel a large cut across the back, sending pain down to your spine like a bolt of lightning.

Every touch sent waves of pain further down as he inspected it, giving you a heads up before starting to stitch it shut.
As he did, he couldn't help but ask.

"How did you block that.. what do you call those things?"

"Lizalf- Ow."

"Sorry."

"How did you stop that thing?..I saw something glowing."

It took a moment to think of the right words while a needle slipped through, thankfully you were quick on the spot.

"Shiekah technology, its.. quite amazing actually."

You pull out the sheikah slate and hold it out so he could see.

"This isnt what created it but this is the sort of stuff you'll see associated with it."

Patrisha was very interested now but about something else, grabbing a hold of the slate and spinning it around slowly.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I dont follow."

"Why put yourself in these situations?
Its reckless and dangerous.. you could just stay out of the way and let -"

"I cant just do that.
Not anymore.
Especially if any of you three are in the middle of it."

She hands the slate back and then picked up your leather breastplate, staring at the crevices of the lizalfos' claw marks.

"Also... think about it."

Daniel stops stitching and Patrisha has a befuddled look.

"About what?"

"You were just in another world.. right?
And now you've been brought here with no explanation, no reason or goal in sight..

I was brought here the same way, without the bright light but it was almost down to a tee."

Patrisha continued to look at the leather as Daniel turned your head slowly to the side before slipping the needle in again, falling back into a rhythm seamlessly.

As he did, Mipha had stepped close behind to admire Daniel's work.

A groan then slips from your lungs as another spike of dull pain pulsed across your scull.

"..is it done yet?"

"Almost."

Patrisha spoke up again, laying down the breastplate by her side.
"Can I ask you something personal?"

No words left your mouth but the look in your eyes turned from defiance to a soft and open gaze.

"Have you be-"

Your eyes shoot wide open, distilling a desperation to keep everything secret.

She starts waving her hands, signs out words and almost instantly, Revali pipes up.

"Of course they know sign language.."

Without a beat missed she gives him a squinted look of annoyance, along with Daniel.

"Are you always this rude?"

That shut him up pretty quickly, almost forcing him to look away so she returns back to the question, letting her hands glide through the air.

"Have you.. been here before?

Your eyes stay wide as she brought up something you didnt expect.

"Its just.. the way you fight, it wasnt like before at that festival.."

You couldn't speak, it wasn't that you couldnt yourself.. its that you didnt want others knowing every detail of your life, so you start signing words in turn.

"I think so... we spoke about it."

You point up as Daniel finished off the last stitch and cleans up the excess thread.

"Done and.. yeah, we did.
Now isn't a good time though."

You cut him off, deciding to speak.
"Actually.."

The room fell silent once more.. filling not with dread but anticipation.

"This.. might be the best time..."

Everyone watched as you contemplated every variable, every scenario.. almost paranoid of what could go wrong as you tried to predict wh-

Daniels hand gets placed on your back.
"Breath.. take your time ok."

It took a while for you to find the words for such a situation but you finally reach for your bag, rummaging around for the small box as you try to explain.

"This is... going to be a lot to take in.. for everyone."

Meanwhile above the inn

"Oh, where are my manners!?"

The emerald green rito let's go of lilith's hand and introduces herself and her children as she brings her into the quaint little home.

"My name is Amali and these little tresures are: Cree, Genli, Notts, Kotts and you've already met Kheel."

They all give a big wave and as they did, Cree loses balance and spins out from her hammock, landing clean on her hind, leaving only Lilith in shock.

"A-are you o-"

Cree then giggled and hops back up with a flourish of her wings.
"I'm ok!"

Amali then lifts her back up into the hammock.
"Goddesses above, you are such a clumsy one... ok, bedtime little ones!"
S

he then picks up Kheel and sets her into her hammock.

"Aww.."

"But theres still daylight!"

"We never got to practice our singing!"

She holds a wing up, authoritatively but with a loving aura only a mother could bring.
"Theres always tomorrow and that means you'll have twice as much energy to practice."

She then grabs a hold of an open candle and blows out the flame, letting the soothing evening light inch across the dark wood beams of the village.
