Its good to be back!
I just wanna get back into the writting spirit so early (shorter than usual) chapter!
Sorry for the wait, just glad to have sorted out a few pressing matters.

You holster your gear, walk over to Fortan and slip the tablet back into one of the saddle's pouches.

"It tends to be, Im just glad its over.. for now."

Mipha had just finished healing Daruk's wound.

"How often should we expect this to occur?"

It took a minute for you to estimate given it happens every two weeks, it wouldn't help a lot since everything is up for debate.
For all you know it could be a matter of days until the next... and who knows who'll youll be up against next.

"Probably every month but thats a guess and nothing more.
Time moves a lot faster here than in the other world so i honestly cant tell until it happens again."

Revali sounded annoyed to say the least as he gave off a snide attitude.
"I thought you knew everything?"

You shoot him a glare as you fasten straps holding your saddle in place.

"I know a bit of everything, not everything."

"So (Y/n) finally has a flaw, goddess above."

You tug hard on a strap, causing Fortan to whine gently.
Resting a palm on his neck, you give a few pats and apologise.

You look back at Revali with a dull expression.
"I swear you're like a living, breathing bag of salt oozing with jealousy sometimes.."

He rears his head to the side, not wanting to say anything else to encourage you.

A sharp pain shot up your ribs, forcing you to grip your side tightly.
Mipha steps forward to help but you wave your hand and stretch.
"Im ok, just slept rough."

You give a small tug on Fortans reigns, urging to follow as you start to walk back towards the castle.

Everyone follows, you look back, expecting to see Revali take off but he stays.
He was looking at you before you had even given a thought to check.

"What?"

You look back.
"Nothing.. i was half expecting you to take off by now."

He shoots back with gusto.
"Well, i was half expecting you to run off by now."

You muttered the last remark.
"At least i wouldnt have to listen to the incessant clacking of your beak..."

The walk was fairly quiet, only a few birds chirping broke the silence between all of you.
That didnt last long as a Hylian woman rounded the corner, screaming for help.

You kept a close eye on her as she ran closer and closer, slowly filling yourself with suspicion.
Something was off... she hadn't moved her gaze from you the moment she showed up.

You give Urbosa a look who had a hand resting on the hilt of her smictar but remained calm and welcoming.

You weren't exactly subtle, you had already pulled out your sword and pulled it into a defence.

Now something was really bugging you, a single and potential clan member rushing up to the entire group of champions, excluding you of course..

You lean out of eavesdropping range and whisper.
"Im pretty sure she's trying to buy some time..."

Everyone had their weapons ready but still sheathed, you turn to Revali.

"Now would be a good time to fly.."

He gets down, ready to fly.
"Who put you in ch-"

You hear something sizzle underneath you, what you see made your heart stop beating.
The end of a fuze burning, its embers zipping towards something red and hidden in the dirt.

You dont think, you just extend both arms and blow everyone off to the side as a detonation goes off beneath you, a quick spike of pain enveloped you before cutting to black.
