You hadn't seen a stable yet so you weren't too deep in the faron region, it was dark by the time you all got the the outskirts of foliage and tropical heat.
Everyone was huffing, panting and wiping sweat from their brows.
"(Y/n), how does he know you?"
Coming to a hault, you swallow a lump in your throat and look at Urbosa.
"I guess i cant hide it anymore.."
You start rummaging through your bag as you talk.
"Just.. promise you wont tell anyone.. yet..."
You breathe in deep and spit it out.
"I used to live here.. when and how i left, i dont know but i do know i had a plan."You find the ornate box and hand it to her.
"The plan involved.. erasing our memory, everyone agreed and now im recovering my memory.."After glancing around briefly, making sure everyone was accounted for, you started walking.
"Do you.. remember anything important?
Something that might help in the future?"She picked out one of the chips, spinning it around to see a symbol engraved into it.
As she did, you shook your head, choosing to avoid mentioning how you may have tarnished Revali's reputation somehow.
"Not really.. But if I do, I'll let you know first."
"I appreciate it but I think the others should know too."
She handed back the box but still holding the chip as you all made your way out off the thick, humid jungle.
Everyone stopped to take a breather, you sit and watch as Urbosa inspected the chip closer."I doubt you'll get anything else from looking at it... Hell, I don't think it even works anymore."
She looked closer, hoping to grasp the situation better.
It started to glow a faint hue of green, causing the hairs along your body to shoot up, adrenaline coursing through your veins.
"U-Urbosa, its glowing.."
Before you could do anything, it slipped from between her fingers, stuck itself onto the side of her head and pulsed repeatedly before dying down and lighting back up into a bright blue colour.
The two of you stayed still, for a minute.. You hoped something would happen but it just stayed, glued to her.
"Uh.. Are you ok?"
Urbosa nodded while tugging on the chip lightly but to no avail.
"You seem pretty calm for someone with an unknown piece of technology stuck to you.."
She gave you a small glance while tapping the other side of her head.
Enticing you to do so, as you do, you feel cold stone, you try to pull on it but it wasn't budging.Eyes wide and with a heavy beat against your chest, you put two and two together.
"Oh!.. Wait, how long did you know I have one too?"
"Remember the day you evaded the entire castle?"
You nod shortly, still pulling on the chip.
"Yeah, possibly the dumbest decision of my life so far..""Zelda had one for some time, she was trying to unlock its secrets.
When she got word of your sudden arrival, She rushed over with it.
One thing led to another, she brought it close enough to you while you were unconscious and the rest is history.""Well that explains a lot.'
You rub the bridge of your nose, still trying to grasp what has happened, then your stomach rumbles.
"I didn't realise how hungry I am.."
Urbosa looked back at the group.
"Imagine how hungry they all are..""There's a forest nearby, i might be able to catch something."
Urbosa held the circular blade tight.
"I'll keep an eye out for more yiga clan, don't take too long."You nod and walk towards the tree line, with your bow in one hand, you start combing over the area.
It wasn't long until you find fresh tracks, following them, you see a rough path of flattened grass and broken twigs.
A deer called out, you follow the noise, walk out into a clearing and spot one grazing.
Wasting no time, you summon an arrow with ease, pull back and let it fly.
As the arrow embedded itself into the deer's chest, it falls and writhes about briefly until it kicks and twitches weakly.
Once you were stood by it, you pull out the knife from before and notice it was the one you used to pry open that chest.
A thought of the yiga clan leader snapping the blade off while still in your knee crossed your mind, their leader could have done a lot more damage..
You come back to reality, the deer was barely moving.
"Sorry little guy, its nothing personal."
Knelt down, you slip the knife in and watch as the life in its eyes slip away.
Nothing happened, no puff of smoke or random pieces of meat appearing from thin air.
"I guess I gotta skin you."
With a long sigh, you get the deer over your shoulder and head back.Hi everyone, I'm still writing, don't worry.
Just had another rough week.
