Taehyung has been in the states for six months now. He and Jin have been calling each other everyday, trying to keep their promise to make their relationship work. But it's getting hard for him to fulfill his promise. The problem in their company was getting bigger and he's lost as to what to do. He was always stressed out. More often than not, their conversations would end up in arguments because he would lash out at Jin.
Jin, on the other hand, was being very patient with Tae. He'd make sure he was always available for him. He'd drop everything once he sees Taehyung calling. He always puts on a beautiful smile to welcome his boyfriend. But lately, he always ends up getting hurt whenever they're finished talking. He's contemplating if he should just break up with Taehyung before things get so much worse and before their words hurt each other more. But no, he will keep his promise to Tae. Only six months left and he'll be back for good. His thoughts were interrupted when his phone rang.
Jin: Hey baby! How's your day? I miss you.
Jin greeted his boyfriend sweetly when he answered the video call.
Taehyung: I'm fine, baby, just tired.
Jin: Oh no, baby. You shouldn't tire yourself out.
Taehyung snapped at Jin. He looked at him as if he was stupid.
Taehyung: You think I want to tire myself out? What kind of nonsense is that, Jin? Who the fuck wants to be tired all the time?!
Jin: I didn't mean anything by that. Please don't be angry. I was just worried about you.
Taehyung: Worried? If you're really worried for me then you should just let me sleep instead of making me call you every damned day!
Jin avoided looking at Taehyung so he wouldn't see his tears. His words hurt. He just missed him so much. But look what it got him. He sighed.
Jin: I'm sorry for making you call me instead of letting you rest. Don't worry, I won't disturb you anymore. You go ahead and rest.
Taehyung: Jin, I'm sorry, I was just stressed out. I didn't mean to take it out on y—
Jin cut the call short. This isn't the first time that Taehyung did this to him. He cannot take it any more so he just hung up. He received a message from Taehyung immediately after hanging up.
Taehyung: Damn it, Jin! You know I'm still talking and you went ahead and cut the call??
Taehyung: Jin! Answer the fucking phone!
Taehyung: Fine! You really want to make me mad huh? I'm tired of this shit, Jin. If you don't want to talk to me, then don't! I'm not going to waste my time here. I have better things to do.
Taehyung knew he was being harsh. But the anger he felt at the moment made him forget that he's talking to his beloved boyfriend.
After a while of thinking about their situation, Jin wiped his tears away and picked his phone up and sent Taehyung a reply.
Jin: I'm tired of this too, Taehyung. I didn't do anything wrong yet you took your anger out on me. Again. I've been patient and understanding these past few months because I know you're struggling with the company. But I have my own struggles too. Yet you don't hear me curse and lash out on you the way you always do to me. It hurts me everytime you do that. If you don't want to continue this relationship, all you have to do is tell me. I won't hold you back. I've tried very hard for the both of us but I have my limits too.
Taehyung felt guilty upon reading Jin's reply. Jin was right. He shouldn't have taken it out on his boyfriend every single time. All he ever did was try to make him feel better and he repaid it with harsh words and cold treatment. He was an asshole. He tried calling Jin several times but Jin didn't answer any of his calls and messages. He sighed. He would just call Jin tomorrow. For now, he will get his much needed rest.
