I went and sat beside her on the swing. She was touching the flower creepers that crept on the swing chains. She got so delighted seeing those beautiful creepers.

"Pati babu, aren't these very sweet?", she quizzed looking at me with her twinkling eyes.

"You are right Bondita. These flowers are definitely sweet, but let me show you something. After seeing that you decide which one is sweeter.", saying this I took out a small earthen pot that I have been carrying in my pocket since the last fifteen minutes.

On seeing that she screamed, "Kulfiiiiiiiii.............. How did it come here?"

"Bondita, can't you see the wings of this pot. It came all the way from the shop by flying, just to get into your stomach.", I said acting dramatically. For a moment she looked at me in suspicion and then we burst into laughing.

"Thank you, pati babu. You are so sweet.", she blurted and tried to grab the pot from my hands. While keeping the pot away from her, I asked, "A few minutes ago you said that these flowers are sweet and now you seem to change the party. After eating this kulfi will you say that it is sweeter than me?".

"Oh come on, pati babu. This kulfi is sweet to taste, while these flowers are sweet to look at and you are the sweetest person to make friends with.", she replied without much contemplation. I was surprised at her intelligence and maturity. The way she answered really impressed me. That is why I feel the need to make her a barrister. I thanked her with a broad smile.

Then again she attempted to take the kulfi pot from my hands but I played with her by holding it high and keeping it out of her reach. She stood, jumped, hopped and tried various ways but her strength and height were not sufficient to snatch it from me. Then she took out her ultimate weapon and used it as a last resort to get the kulfi; that is, blowing her cheeks and looking away from my face. I chuckled at her antics and her method of bringing me into her way.

I placed the pot aside and knocked her cheeks gently with my fists. She looked at me angrily.

"Bondita, smile please.", I asked, to which she nodded her head in disagreement.

"Please...", I requested with an innocent look and a very pleasing tone.

"Didn't you bring this kulfi for me?", she asked.

"Of course, it's only for you that I brought.", I answered.

"Then why aren't you giving me?"

"That's because, it must have melted by now. Moreover, I know very well that you will apply it all over your face, clothes and whole body rather than eating. So let me feed you with my hands.", I remarked.

She was delighted and opened her mouth wide, signaling me to feed. I carefully fed her with the kulfi. By seeing her face I learnt that she enjoyed the kulfi to her heart's content. I felt happy looking at her satisfaction.

After eating the kulfi, she started running across the entire garden, while I still sat on the swing and watched her. I instructed her to walk slowly but she only wanted to run. Though, I was little tensed that she might fall down and hurt herself, her happiness made me overcome my fears. She took some water from the pool and sprinkled it on me while I was lost in admiring the beauty of the flowers and nature.

For some time she played near the fountain. Later I saw her running behind a beautiful lime green coloured butterfly. She wants to catch it but it constantly escaped. She got irked by its behavior and blew her cheeks. I silently laughed at her behavior. Is she thinking the butterfly to be her pati babu who gets affected by her anger and does anything to pacify her? I chuckled at the thought and went to her.
