"Sakha babu", Bondita began, "Tell me, is Satya's hair really more beautiful than mine?"

I laughed out loud in amusement thereby annoying Bondita. She behaved like a typical girl friend and wife.

"Why are you laughing?", she pouted.

"By looking at your innocence", "What did I make you understand so far, sweetheart? You still have doubts?"

"It's not like that sakha babu. My question right now is different. You have made me realise that I am your one and only love. But when did you say whose hair is more beautiful, mine or Satya's?"

Once again I laughed as a response much to her disappointment.

"The answer to this question should be very well known to the woman who can read my mind?"

"Although I can read your mind, I want to listen from you. Is it a big crime to expect this much from one's partner?"

"Not at all. I will tell you when it is the right time.", I told, suppressing my laughter with much difficulty.

"O Durga maa", she cried dramatically, joining her hands to the sky, "When will this 'right time' come in my life. With each passing moment, my curiosity about different things is piling up like a mountain. But my lord says it's still not the right time. Hopefully you will bring the right time before this mountain erupts."

"Drama queen!", I exclaimed, pulling her nose, "The fruits of patience are sweeter. I will let you know after you tell me how does your Ant look like? Is he more handsome than me?"

"Ant?", she asked in confusion.

"Your friend, some Anderson, Andy or something.", I answered sarcastically.

"Andrew?"

"I guess."

Taking a close look at my face, Bondita commented, "You look like a puffed luchi, but Andrew looks like a cute roshogulla."

She not only called him cute but compared him with her favourite sweet. I got upset and sat quietly reflecting on the sharp pain that took over my heart, until I noticed a glint of mischief in Bondita's eyes.

"So I am a puffed luchi? Huh?", I asked. "Well, I think we can go home now. At first I thought of giving answer to your question before going home; but that is not so important it seems."

"Why?", she cried in disappointment.

"Because puffed luchis cannot give compliments.", I huffed, smiling inwardly.

"Are you feeling jealous, sakha babu?"

"No way! Jealousy is the friend of insecure people. Anirudh Roy Chowdhary is a very secure human."

"Admit it, dear Krishna. Aren't you jealous even a little bit?"

"I am rather upset. The reason is unknown to me as well. Only the piercing pain can be felt. In spite of knowing how much you love me and that no one can take my place in your life, I still find this pain undeniable. Perhaps, I am selfish enough to desire to always hear my name and my praises from your mouth. Whatsoever, the truth is, I too cannot share you with anyone.", I confessed, smiling at the stupidities of love.

Love makes even the most mature man a fool and the sanest person insane. It clouds your mind and logic, making you an idiot. At the same time, it also turns a gloomy overcast into a beautiful sky painted with colours, like it did when Bondita remarked, "I love this shade of you too, biristera babu, which I am seeing for the first time. Are there any other shades yet to be revealed?"
