This time, I accepted his second date after a few weeks of realizing that cornbread made my day.

I'm kidding. Food can steal my heart but his insistence intrigues me more...

So I find myself looking for the right outfit. It's ironic because I studied not only event planning but design as well.

This is the only event I find second guessing myself.

He said we were going somewhere special. Somewhere I've already been with him on one of our first dates. Most of our dates ended up waking the next morning by his side.

There was one date that stands out the most. It was the day I had finally told my coworker I was dating him and they were all jealous of me.

We went to a rodeo party.

Before I met Tyler, I used to hate everything that had to do with country life. The music. The rustic living. Their accent. I was a city girl through and through. But then Tyler took me to this amazing party with his kind, and I fell in love with it all. This made Tyler complete.

So just to be safe, I wear a nice pair of jeans, some boots, and a nice blouse.

Tyler arrives several minutes early and his outfit says that I was right. We're going to a rodeo restaurant.

His smile widens as I approach him on the street. His eyes shine brighter than the stars as he says, "You look gorgeous as always, Tessa."

"Thank you," I say. "So I guessed we were going to a rodeo restaurant. Was I right?"

Tyler puts a warm arm around my shoulders as he guides me to his truck. "As usual." We share a chuckle at this and I smile as he opens the door for me.

I am utterly surprised at the place we arrive at. I did not know that this part of the city has a whole building only for country people. The rustic design is gorgeous. The wood surrounds every bit of this place and there's even a live band going on. I think maybe I have seen this place but I knew it would remind me of him, so I would drive past it.

Tyler leads me to one of the wooden tables and gives me a childish smile. "I remembered that you're vegan now—"

"Vegetarian."

"So I made sure there were options here for you. Look."

My heart melts at his sweet gesture as he explains each plate to me. My eyes steal glances at his handsome features as he gently continues on.

"And there's even your favorite beer." He gives me a knowing smile and I kindly shake my head.

"I don't drink anymore."

"Oh," he says with a proud smile. "I'm glad to hear that."

"But don't let me stop you."

"Oh no no. I've also quit alcohol. Enough is enough." This time, I give him a warm smile as I look back at the menu.

The waiter comes and we give him our orders. As he leaves, Tyler looks out at the place and says, "You like it here? I want you to feel comfortable. I didn't know if you still liked these kinds of stuff."

"Don't worry about it. I enjoy the nostalgia."

"Ooh. Big words. You've always been a smart girl."

I give him a laugh. "Nostalgia isn't even a big word."

"That's what nerds say..." Tyler playfully raises his brows and I give him another laugh.

"You're silly."

My heart flutters at his small wink. Tyler smiles at the waiter that has brought us a small tray of chips with spicy sauce and looks back at me. "Will you be having another event soon?"
