Your Pov

"I can't anymore." Ashaley breathed out heavily.

"Yes you can Ashaley, just a couple of more pushes." One of the many nurses in the room said to the girl.

"You got this Ash, just breath." I said in hopes of comforting the girl.

"Don't fucking talk to," She stopped herself, letting out loud scream. "Me. Shit!" I hissed as she clawed at my arm, definitely leaving scratches on my skin.

Nevertheless, I listened to the girl, not saying anything else.

We had been through this same process three times in the last two days.

One minute she was having strong contractions then the next they were weak, she was actively pushing but he wouldn't come out, or the epidural ran out and we had to wait so she could get another one.

These two days have been hell.

But right now, progress was actually being made.

"You're almost there." I wiped a combination of tears and sweat from the girl's cheeks with my free hand. Before taking a peek below the cover.

"Oh my god." I gaged instantly regretting that decision.

My second time going through this and that still will never sit right with me.

Seeing the head come out of the- it's just.. A lot.

"Good, good Ashaley." The girl let out one last scream, as she finally pushed him out.

"You did great Ash." I kissed the girl's forehead, keeping my hand in hers as I stood up watching the nurses wipe him off before placing the crying boy on Ash's chest.

"Oh my God." We both said simultaneously as we laid our eyes on him fully for the first time.

He had a head full of curly hair just like Storm.

I couldn't wait to hold him.

"Oh my God." Ash repeated, sobbing most likely out of shock.

"Wow" I mumbled as I leaned down to gently caress his head with my thumb.

"Y/n are you cutting the cord?" I quickly responded yes, kissing the back of Ash's hand before I moved to stand side by side with the nurse.

After cutting the cord, I slowly trailed behind the nurse, since she now had our son in her arms.

Watching her complete the Apgar test and everything else that needed to be checked, I sat back down next to Ash as she was being taught how to breastfeed.

As some nurses cleared out, the room got a lot louder as Ash's family could finally enter the room.

They weren't in here in the first place because her birth was still considered high risk. So the doctors wanted as many nurses as possible.

"Y/n," I perked up at my name. "Hold him." I stood up from my seat, pulling my shirt off (leaving me in a sports bra), so we could have skin-to-skin contact.

"Hey, lil man." I said once he was in my arms, pacing throughout the room.

"Do you have a name ready?" One of the nurses asked me making me turn to Ashaley who gave me a knowing nod.

"Yea," I answered watching the lady pull out a pen. "Roman Messiah Y/ln." I told her as I looked down at my son who was breathing steadily.

"I love that," She smiled looking over at us. "Roman Messiah Y/ln. Born March 1st, 2019 seven pounds nine oz and twenty-three inches." She read his information to us. "He's already past twenty inches he's might be tall like you." She pointed out.
