As the rest of the team sprinted out onto the pitch for the warm up, I sulked over to the subs bench, alone. I watched as Jack ran out, pulling her Captain's armband up her arm.

"Hang on." Hansard said, counting the number of players running around the pitch. "Are we missing somebody?"

Jamie! I thought to myself. He still wasn't back, even though he promised he would be.

"Where's Johnson?!" Hansard yelled to his team, realizing who he was missing, but the team showed blank faces, even Jack.

"I'll get him, sir!" A voice said, and it took me a second to realise that it was me.

"Well do you know where he is?" Hansard said sceptically.

"Well, maybe. I think." I said, which wasn't a lie - I knew the Foxborough grounds weren't far from where the match was being played.

"Well what are you waiting for?!" Hansard replied. "Go!"

And I obeyed, sprinting off the bench towards the edge of the field and onto the pavement - it was only about half a mile to Foxborough; I could get there and back in under half an hour.

When the building was in view, I stopped in my tracks, realising my plan was stupid. Even if I managed to make it inside, would Jamie just stop his trial to come play for his school team?

Suddenly, I heard a voice behind me.

"Bella?" It was Zoe, come to watch the game I guessed. "Where you off to?"

"To be honest, I have no idea." I said. "Have you been following me?" I said, suddenly realising this couldn't have been a coincidence.

"Maybe."

I rolled my eyes and kept walking, aware of Zoe's footsteps behind me.

"Zoe, i'm really busy. What are you doing?"

"Coming with you. Got nothing better to do since I didn't make the team."

"Fine." I said, walking towards the main entrance to the building. "If you want to make yourself useful, know any way to get in here without being caught?"

"Well certainly not this way." Zoe replied, grabbing my arm and pulling me round the corner just before I entered the main entrance. "Wanna get caught as soon as you step through the door?"

"Fine." I huffed, crossing my arms. "Where do you propose we go?" I asked.

"Through there." Zoe said, pointing to a back entrance.

Suddenly, all the memories of that night me and Jamie broke into the school came flooding back. Why did I suddenly want to see Jamie again?

"What are we waiting for then?" I said, darting towards the door. Surprisingly, it was unlocked, and we both went straight through into a narrow corridor. As we walked along slowly, me looking for some sort of clues as to wear Jamie could be, Zoe suddenly broke the silence.

"You surprise me, Bella."

I scoffed. "Why?"

"Indira said you were a goodie-two-shoes."

"Indira says too much if you ask me." I replied. "Besides, she doesn't know everything."

"That sounds mysterious."

"Yeah, well. Maybe I'm a mysterious girl."

"Well you got that right." Zoe's replied. "You still haven't told me why we're trespassing into Foxborough."

"Ugh, I have to find Jamie."

"What, the famous Jamie Johnson?" Zoe laughed. "The one who helped Kingsmount beat us at the cup last year?"

"Only after you cheated." I replied bluntly.

"Not me personally, I wasn't even on the team."

"Why not?"

"They didn't let girls on the team at Westfield. You have it lucky."

I scoffed. "Are you joking? I know all about not being allowed on a team just cos I'm a girl."

"Oh yeah? Why?"

"Nothing. Doesn't matter." I said, remembering what I'd said about not saying anything about Thornlake. "Anyway, look, we're here." I said, as the corridor opened out into a larger area which overlooked a large training ground outside. But Jamie was nowhere to be seen.
