I walked into the Hawkstone ground for the youth players derby. Unlike most times I went out somewhere, I had put makeup on and made an effort, not really sure why though. Me and Indie split up when she saw Zoe and I saw Jack and Boggy, each of us going to our respective friends.

"Hey!" I said, standing next to Jack, looking out onto the empty pitch.

"Hi! You look nice." She said with a wry smile.

"Well, I try my best." I said sarcastically, flipping my hair. "When's kickoff?"

"About 5 minutes I think." She said, and I nodded.

When the players finally emerged from the changing rooms, I looked out for Jamie in a Foxborough shirt, and when I caught a glimpse of him, I nearly laughed. Seeing him in any shirt other than a Hawkstone one was just strange.

"Who are you supporting?" I asked Jack, conflicted of whether I should be cheering for Foxborough or Hawkstone.

"I'm supporting Jamie; I refuse to wear a Foxborough shirt though." She said, unzipping her hoodie to show a Hawkstone scarf and shirt, making me laugh out loud.

When the game was underway, I sensed tension between Jamie and Dillon. Although, that could have just been down to Dillon being an idiot; he was committing about 100% of the fouls.

By the end, Hawkstone had won, but they didn't deserve to. Neither side did. Even after the game, we were all getting ready to leave when Jamie and Dillon started a fight on the pitch. Dillon got a deserved red card which he was not happy about. Why did Jamie let Dillon wind him up so much?

"You gonna stick around?" Jack said after the excitement had died down.

"Nah, i've got to go to the first team game with Jethro." I said, which made Jack smile.

"Well that'll be exciting." She said, grinning wryly.

"Awkward, you mean. I don't even know why he asked me!"

"Isn't it obvious? He still likes you. What even happened to break you two up?" She asked, and I shuffled my feet nervously.

"You don't want to know." I said, looking at the floor, laughing falsely.

I waited for Jethro outside the stadium for a straight half an hour before he showed up. The game had already started, and I was seriously considering ditching if he hadn't shown up soon after that.

"Alright?" He said, strolling up to me, sipping an energy drink.

"Alright? That's all you've got to say?" I asked incredulously.

He just shrugged so I elaborated. "You're half an hour late, Jethro."

"So?"

"Well, we've missed the start, c'mon." I said, dragging him towards the entrance, but his feet were dragging.

When we finally took our seats, he seemed to settle down a bit more as he got into the game. Things were going ok, until I heard a voice from behind me.

"Thought you weren't going to show."

"Jamie?" I said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

Somehow, this sentence seemed to hurt, and his face melted into disappointment. "Nothing." He just replied.

Jamie's POV

I couldn't believe Bella had actually come to the game with Jethro. Jethro. Did she still fancy him? But then again, why did I care? I broke up with her.

At half time, I made my way to the refreshment shops to buy a drink, then made my way back to the seats. It was just my luck to be sat directly behind Bella and Jethro; all of half time I had to listen to them laughing and watching her smile at him. It was just getting annoying. I watched the drink on my lap wobble, and before I knew it, I was pushing it forward so it toppled off my knee and down to the seats in front of me, soaking Bella and Jethro.

Bella stood up, dripping wet, looking completely shocked. "Jamie?!" She exclaimed. "What the hell?!"

I didn't know what to say as she walked off angrily, and I watched as Jethro went after her.
