Chapter 12

Noah and I met up a couple times throughout the week, usually, him coming over and watching Miraculous Ladybug at my place. But Friday soon arrived. Next week was winter break, and the week after that was Christmas, The one more week of break, and school starts back up again. I put on my airpods and listened to music as I got ready and drove to school. I arrived in the classroom and I was greeted by little smiling faces.

"Hello my friends!" I greeted my students.

"How are you all doing today? Are you excited for vacation?"

"Yeah!" They all chimed together, and started talking among themselves.

"Okay guys, today, is going to be a fun day, because it's the last day before vacation!" I tell them.

"Yay!" They all say.

"The first thing we're going to do today is dance! Wiggle your body and have some fun!"

I played To the sky by Owl City.

Shipwreck in a sea of faces

There's a dreamy world up there

Dear friends in higher places

Carry me away from here

Travel light, let the sun eclipse you

'Cause your flight is about to leave

And there's more to this brave adventure

Than you'd ever believe

Birds-eye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you

Wide eyes will always brighten the blue

Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery

'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high

So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind

And take to the sky

On the heels of war and wonder

There's a stormy world up there

You can't whisper above the thunder

But you can fly anywhere

Purple burst of paper birds

This picture paints a thousand words

So take a breath of myth and mystery

And don't look back

Birds-eye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you

Wide eyes will always brighten the blue

Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery

'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high

So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind

And take to the sky

I danced with all of them, jumping around, and having fun in the classroom. What a fun start to the day.

We did some coloring, went outside and played in the snow, we ate some candy, played with some toys, and had so much fun. Eventually, the day got over. I was hugged by each of my students. Some even gave me presents. How sweet!
