"I would like to thank everyone who could join us on my birthday. It's my first time celebrating my birthday in such a grand way with all the lovely people who are present here. It truly means a lot." Jungkook says in the mic. Eunhyuk smiles, lovingly looking at his son.

Taehyung still couldn't understand anything. Out of all the people in the world, why did Jungkook have to be Eunhyuk and Donghae's son?

"How come he is the son though? Isn't he a Jeon?" Jimin asks. Taehyung doesn't say anything because he doesn't know anything either.

"Jeon Jungkook is Mr. Lee Hyuk-Jae's sister's son." Hoseok says in a low voice but it's enough for the KX5 members to hear. They are glad they're not standing too close to any of the guests or the host family themselves.

"But something tragic happened to his parents and they died when Jungkook was like... seven or eight years old. Mr. and Mr. Lee adopted him then but Jungkook was adamant not to take Lee as his surname and continue with Jeon." Hoseok says. Everyone looks at him in confusion.

"Okay but... how do you know about this, hyung?" Taehyung asks. After hearing what Hoseok said, he feels bad for Jungkook. He understands the pain of losing a parent when you're so young because he went through the same when his mother died. But unlike Taehyung, Jungkook lost both his parents. Well, Taehyung's father never really acted like a father should so Taehyung can understand that too.

"Oh HYBE Labels, Japan artists are the brand ambassadors of Extravaganza in Japan so I met Jungkook when we were working on the deal. He was the Japan branch's CEO's secretary. We just became good friends then." Hoseok says.

Taehyung stares at his brother before pulling him away from others. When they are alone in a corner, he says, "I didn't know you were keeping touch with him."

"He's my friend so why wouldn't I?" Hoseok asks, looking very confused.

"Because he is my... he w-was the one I liked. Didn't I tell you about the person who... who understood me the most and... supported me? Jungkook is that person, hyung." The younger says, trying his best to not let the tears slip out of his eyes.

"What? He's that guy?"

"Yes. I sometimes used to wonder what he's been doing, how is he and stuff but I didn't know you were in touch with him all this time." Taehyung says sadly. He is not afraid about Hoseok finding out that he didn't move on from Jungkook yet. He knows his brother won't judge him and he can talk freely with him.

"Oh God, Tae, why didn't you tell me the name? You didn't even show me his photo. How was I supposed to know?"

Taehyung stays quiet for a while, wondering if he's overreacting. He takes a deep breath and sighs, "Let it be, hyung. I can't expect you to tell me when I skipped the most important detail."

"It's all gonna be fine, Tae. I promise." Hoseok says patting his brother's shoulder. Taehyung nods. They stay there for a while, watching Jungkook blow the candles and the cake being taken away to be cut and distributed to the guests.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we also have an important announcement to make." Donghae says, taking the mic again. Everyone looks at him curiously because by now, everyone knows that this is not just a birthday party.

"So a few days ago, some rumours went around about HYBE Corporation getting restructured. Well, all of them are true." Donghae says. A lot of people look surprised but not the ones who worked at HYBE Corporation. They got the idea that a lot is going to change soon.
