It's been around 4 hours since the team all said goodnight to each other and headed off to bed. Y/n and Wanda however both couldn't sleep. Wanda had a headache she's been pushing down all day thinking it would pass, and Y/n was just not tired after her exciting day with Morgan.

Y/n starred at the ceiling watching the fan blades turn, she noticed if you keep your eyes on one, the fan doesn't move as fast as it seems. She tried different things to keep herself occupied or to tire herself out but nothing she tried seemed to work.

Her mind would go to different things but it always came back to the same thing. Wanda. Specifically Wanda's smile. No matter what seeing Wanda smile made her smile, almost like a contagious laugh, it just happened to be a smile. Or something more.

Whatever it was that Y/n was feeling she knew it needed to stop. She didn't want to hurt Wanda or herself. But no matter what, they still found comfort in each other. Wanda, down the hall, had all the lights in her room off and a bunch of pillows surrounding her to bring her any form of comfort.

Even though it's been almost a full year since the Westview incident Wanda missed Vision and her kids deeply. The media always reminded her that her kids weren't real, but they were to her. Agatha was still out there waiting for the right moment to catch her, under Wandas mind control or not which filled Wanda's dreams every chance it got.

Everyone was afraid of her, starting with Lagos, Wanda did not have the best reputation everyone turning their kids away from her or people giving her cold stares as she walked down the streets, every face reminded her of every mistake she's ever made.

Her headache grew the more she thought about what she lost causing her to sit up from her bed whipping her tears on the cuff of her knitted sweater. She sat there for a minute remembering late night conversations and walks she would have with Vision and now she had no one to do it with. So she thought.

Wanda pushed the covers off her and she got out of bed opening her door quietly then made her way downstairs. She went to the cabinet she knew all to well from the headaches she got every night and picked up the Aspirin bottle that sat on the edge of the self.

She grabbed a glass of water and leaned forward on the counter as she took her medicine. She closed her eyes waiting for the pain to go away when she heard a noise coming from the stairs. When she turned around she saw Y/n making her way into the kitchen then stopping when she saw Wanda.

"Headache?" She asked walking next to the witch then looking through the different cabinets.

"Yeah. What are you doing up?" she asked flipping over so she was now leaning back on the counter. Y/n shrugged while continuing to look for something sweet to eat.

"I just couldn't sleep. Probably still all the adrenaline I have from today...What do you guys eat to snack on? There is nothing in here." Wanda lightly chuckled at her comment seeing how she was truly disappointed,

When Y/n couldn't find what she was looking for she walked to the front door about to leave, Wanda tilted her head confused setting her glass of water down on the counter gently, "Where are you going?" Wanda asked,

"To find a gas station, you can tag along if you want but i'm not waiting for you." Y/n offered leaving the compound. Wanda watched as she walked threw the now opening gates. Y/n was going for a late walk, something Wanda hasn't done in a long time.

Without much hesitation Wanda slipped on some shoes and walked out the compound door. She lightly jogged to meet Y/n side by side. Y/n turned her head and smirked looking at Wanda who seemed to feel relieved.

"For someone who's fast, you walk slow." Wanda said looking slightly up at Y/n.

"For someone who can create there own reality you seem to be living a boring life in that compound." Y/n shot back, the two laughed a little then it went quiet for a bit, a comfortable silence.

Y/n would find rocks that were in the middle of the sidewalk kicking it into the street or into the grass so she didn't trip over them. Walking by an oak tree the two walked on top a bunch of acorns, one catching Y/n's eyes picking it up and placing it in her pocket.

"Do you always go on late walks?" Wanda asked, looking down at the ground playing with her nails. Y/n took a breath thinking about how to answer the question. It wasn't hard it was just a long story.

That was something about Y/n Wanda enjoyed, everything had a story behind it and she was more than happy to listen. How you ask a simple question which turns into her explaining deeper into her reasoning.

"I started not to long ago. Killing someone in broad daylight isn't exactly secretive." She said calmly as her hands stayed in her pockets.

"So, you're going to kill me?" Wanda joked making Y/n smile.

"Depends. You try another mind trick on me, and I just might." Wanda smiled to herself watching Y/n talk, she admired how she was confident but not like her brother, she was kind. Not the murderer she makes herself to be. Wanda knew that slowly Y/n's barrier was breaking down, and she was helping.

As the two got closer to the store their shoulders accidently rubbed causing another spark to happen. "Fuck." Y/n muttered to herself, "I think we should keep our distance." She said, Wanda nodding in agreement.

The two moved on opposite sides of the sidewalk until they got to the store. Y/n grabbed the door and held it open for Wanda. Once Y/n made her way in she grabbed almost all the candy they had. "Do you want a slushy?" Y/n asked, Wanda nodded her head and Y/n gestured for her to grab a cup.

Y/n placed everything on the counter pulling her wallet out and paying for everything. The worker handed her a bag full of her things while Wanda and Y/n picked up there separate drinks. "Thank you." Y/n said to the worker taking the bag and walking out the store, Wanda following behind.

The two took there places again on opposite sides. Wanda wasn't paying attention to the direction they were headed she just followed Y/n's feet, when she looked up she saw they were on the lake behind the compound. "You don't have to stay, I just wanted to come over here." Y/n said walking over to the deck.
