As zemo stepped into the hall Y/n remained still with her arms at her side waiting for him to lead the way. Patting around his coat he put his hand in his pocket taking a key from it, he held it up to Y/n, "Ah." He locked the door to his office then turned to Y/n "Shall we?" he asked as Y/n nodded her head and they began walking.

"Where are you taking me?" She asked as the two started walking,

"I think you'll want to meet this person we've been holding just for you." He smirked. Y/n furrowed her brows as she looked at the ground wondering who he was talking about.

She noticed that as they walked down the different halls Zemo seemed to not care about the bodies of guards laid on top of each other.

She hasn't heard anything from comms so everything was fine. Right? "We are here." Zemo said tapping his knuckles on the steel door next to him.

He knocked in a specific pattern then the door opened revealing two guards and a body tied to a chair, the lights were a lot dimmer, she couldn't makeup the face, she just prayed it wasn't Wanda.

Looking at one guard, short black curly hair, brown eyes, dark freckles and a nose piercing. She looked down at the name tag. Lamar. Looking at the other who had dark brown hair and a beard, green eyes. She looked at his name tag, Adrian.

Zemo walked into the room and Y/n hesitantly followed behind. Turning her head to look at the guards confused before she ran into Zemos back. "Sorry" she mumbled backing up lifting her hands to brush off his coat.

"We've been keeping your friend." He started as he walked behind the chair the person was sitting in, head down, clearly out of energy. Zemo nodded his head in the direction of Lamar as he picked up a spare chair in the room placing it across from the other. "Please, sit."

Looking at everyone in the room weirdly Y/n slowly made her way to the seat sitting down looking at the person in from of her but she still couldn't find any features.

"Mark please lift your head." Zemo instructed, he lifted his head, a few scratches on his face but nothing excessive.

Y/n however froze. She didn't know what happened to Mark after SHEILD broke into the apartment she was worried they would take him.

Mark and Y/n have always been close friends, before the organization. They joined together, best friends. To see him tied up, tired in front of her made her sick.

Adrian came from standing at the door placing handcuffs on Y/n quickly before she could react. She tried to pull her hands apart but it was to late, they already clicked.

"What are you going to do to him?" She questioned concern.

"It's not about about what we are going to do to him...it's about what he's going to do to you." Y/n's face dropped from her non emotional face to clearly confused.

She looked forward at the guy in front of her whose eyes were closed as he shook his head, not wanting to do what Zemo has planned.

"Please don't make me do this." He begged but Zemo ignored his request as he continued talking."

"I told you, you made your decision. This is ours." Y/n stood up from her seat but Adrian quickly pulled her back down holding her in place.

Lamar walked over behind Marks chair bending down as he untied his hands. With the relief Marks head rose higher which allowed Y/n to see the collar on his neck.

Adrian pulled a gun from the side of his thigh hesitantly handing it to Zemo. Once the gun was in his hand he kicked the leg of the chair Mark was in signaling for him to stand up.

Mark stood up weakly as Lamar moved the chair out of the way. Marks eyes stayed on Y/n who was beginning to panic trying to hide it.

Zemo handed the gun over the Mark who grabbed it immediately dropping his arm to his side. "You know what to do." Zemo said calmly.

With a sigh Mark lifted the gun up aiming at Y/n, "Wait, wait, wait." She pleaded, "What the hell is happening?!"

"Oh you're confused?" Zemo rhetorically asked, "Let me explain. In the contract, you clearly did not read, it states this is a lifetime commitment. I'm not going to waste my time hunting you down just for you to escape again no matter how good of a weapon you were."

"So you're just going to kill me? Just like that?"

"Just like that." Turning his head back to Mark he said, "We don't have all day."

Mark took a breath closing his eyes, hand shaking, before he could pull the trigger he dropped the gun back to his side. "I can't." He sighed.

"A weakness...Is this your final choice?"

Mark nodded his head and Zemo nodded slightly as he retrieved the gun from his hand. "That's a shame, I thought I had the best team." He said as he pointed the gun at Mark.

"No!" Y/n yelled, but she was too late. Zemo had pulled the trigger once making Mark stumble backwards then again to finish the job.

"Y/n where are you?" Sam asked on comms, she couldn't answer her hands not being free, "Y/n we need to know where Zemo is."

Zemo noticed the small device in her ear taking it out dripping it on the ground than stepped on it making sure to twist his foot to make sure it was broken.

But Y/n didn't care, comms didn't matter at the moment. Her eyes focused to the man on the ground, blood coming out of the side of his mouth.

She was completely frozen in shock. She just watched her best friend die in front of her.

Lamar and Adrian stayed quiet clenching their jaws not trying to show emotion as they too watched the man before them getting killed.

"Now," Zemo said backing up into his original spot, "let's finish this." He held the gun, aimed at Y/n who look over at it slight tears in her eyes she was holding back.
