While the compound was still quiet as ever Y/n brought it upon herself to explore the area to get a feel of every room. She knew about the lab building very well given she was always hurt in some way but not much of the other parts.

When Wanda woke Y/n up giving her, her daily coffee she went off to the deck while Y/n stayed in the hallway.

When she started on the first floor she noticed from the first day she came, that their were a lot of rooms, a lot with glass walls but also some for private meetings. She walked into one room finding it to be a bit messy with paperwork.

She walked up the the desk finding papers of people, Avengers, with all their information on it. Seeing Peter Parker, Wanda Maximoff, Nick Fury, etc.

"Someone's curious." A voice said entering the room, Y/n turned around finding Natasha but didn't say anything she just looked back down at the papers.

Natasha took a seat at the chair next to the desk Y/n was looking down at causing her to glance back over at Natasha confused. "Do you know who Peter is?" She randomly asked.

Y/n took a breath before responding not looking up from the stack of papers. "No."

"He's...16 now, I believe." She said leaning back in her chair. Y/n gave a sarcastic 'interesting' look making Natasha laugh silently. "He dusted away for 5 years."

Y/n dropped his paper skipped Wanda's and went on the Fury's. "What you don't like like Wanda?" Natasha asked confused as to why she skipped it. She leaned forward grabbing the paper for herself.

"I already read about her." Y/n answered shortly. Natasha looked up at Y/n reading her blank facial expression,

"How much longer till you get your money Stark?"

"Why you counting the days you have left with me?" Natasha let out a soft chuckle while Y/n maintained her poker face reading the files.

"Just asking." As Y/n was becoming more okay with staying at the compound she found out something she hated. Small talk.

She didn't like when someone in the compound came up to her asking a couple questions especially when they didn't really know each other.

So with Natasha trying to start a conversation with Y/n it only made her impatient so she dropped the files and walked out the room heading upstairs.

As Natasha watched Y/n walk out the room and up the stairs she couldn't help but smile, "Starks." She said to herself spinning the chair to face the desk and not the side Y/n was standing on.

As Y/n made her way up the stairs and down the halls of the rooms one caught her eye, Wanda's. She's been in it before, not for the right reasons but she never noticed the detail behind the things she saved.

Y/n looked down both sides of the hall making sure it was clear before taking a step in. The fist thing that caught her eye was the globe that was on her desk that had red push pins placed on different countries.

She spun in around seeing where every pin was placed, confused as to why they were there. "Those are the places I want to visit." Wanda said. Y/n turned her head finding Wanda making her way in her room.

She walked over to the edge of her bed and sat down while Y/n watched her. With a few blinks Y/n turned her attention back on the globe. "Recently or you've always wanted to?" She asked engaging in the conversation.

"I always wanted to explore. I just wasn't exactly free to." Y/n looked back over at Wanda finding her twisting her rings,

"Free to?"

Wanda looked back up at Y/n to explain. "Hydra. I or we thought it was a good decision to volunteer for them to experiment on us. We thought we were protecting our country, turns out we were only destroying it."

"That's when Sokovia fell."

"Well, yes and no. That was your brother, he created Ultron who wanted to destroy the entire human race." She clarified.

"Of course he did." Y/n muttered lightly laughing,

"So after that the Avengers took me in." She explained looking around her room, Y/n turned back to the globe then looking past it she noticed a picture of a baby of a little boy, "Pietro." Y/n glanced at Wanda who nodded her head.

Y/n moved around to the front of her desk looking at the different photos that were on the bulletin board. She noticed the couple of books she had placed on the self along with a glass globe.

"You really want to travel don't you?" Y/n asked picking it up and dusting it off. Wanda shook her head letting out a soft 'Yeah' for Y/n to hear. When Y/n was done she placed the small globe back on it's spot on the self turning around.

She noticed the color of the room, having light grey and blue walls. She saw the grey chair she sat in when she first came, noticing the blanket draped over it. "You're a soft person aren't you Maximoff?" Y/n teased making Wanda laugh.

"I wont hesitate to throw you out my room."

"Oh I know, I just want to see how far I can get before getting thrown through your window." She said walking over to to the guitar near the Tv stand. "How long have you played?"

Wanda shifted her position in the bed as she sat with her leg criss cross in the bed. "I was starting to learn how to play, but I kind of gave up."

"How come?"

"It was difficult for me, to memorize the strings and and which one to hold down on." Y/n walked over behind the chair finding the couch in the room and took a seat.

What Y/n didn't realize was she was engaging in small talk as much as she hated it, she enjoyed it with only specific people. Wanda, somehow manage to fit in that few percent she allows.

As the two continued to talk Y/n realized, she enjoyed being around Wanda. Not just because she was the only person in the compound who would talk to her, but because they were able to have real conversations, even if it started out as small talk.
