Cooling Off

Wandas stare continued to pierce Y/n's body but she wasn't planning on apologizing, so she stood up walking to one of the outside love seats on the deck.

She took another look at the water and didn't wait any longer to lift her shirt over her body tossing it on the cushion.

Wanda took in a sharp breath seeing Y/n's, mostly exposed torso but it didn't last long because then Y/n  ran to the edge of the dock jumping out into the water.

When she met contact with the water as per usual a splash happened causing Wanda to get a few drops in her legs and her feet soaked.

"Y/n." She gasped at the coldness. Y/n was still underwater at the time but quickly came back up to the surface when the cold water hit her skin.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck." She repeated shivering but not trying to get out. "Okay, that's really cold."

Wanda couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "Why are you not getting out?" She asked still laughing with her arms crossed looking down at Y/n.

"Well," She began as she swam to the dock lifting her elbows to rest on the floor of it, "It feels good, I just wasn't expecting it to be that cold."

Wanda crouched down so that she was able to talk to Y/n better, "You still have your shorts on." She said with a chuckle.

Y/n shrugged as she turned around swimming away and disappearing under the water. It wasn't something that caught Wandas attention, she expected Y/n to come right back up, but when she didn't she got a little worried.

"Y/n?" She called worried, when she didn't get a response she walked to the edge looking down into the water seeing an outline of an alligator swimming around where Y/n once was.

Immediately Wanda panic not only at the sight of the creature but if it was to late. "Fuck." She breathed out, just as she was about to go into the water Y/n returned back to the surface with a smug look on her face.

Before Wanda could even question what happened Y/n climbed out of the water and onto the deck.

Wandas eyes gazed over her body, watching as the water ran down her stomach, shaking the thoughts out of her head she punched Y/n's arm.

"Ow." She whined putting her hand over the spot Wanda had hit. But she had no sympathy, she continued to punch Y/n anywhere she could. "I'm sorry, I thought it was funny." She apologized with a laugh still shielding herself slightly with her back turned to Wanda as she continued to throw punches.

Once the hits became softer Y/n turned back around grabbing Wandas wrist to stop her next punch, "Why would you do that?" She questioned removing her arm from Y/n's grip.

"I thought it would be funny to see you panic." She shrugged, with a sigh a quick idea came into Wandas head and didn't hesitate as she walked closer to Y/n. "Wanda no. What are you doing?" 

Wanda placed her hands on Y/n's shoulders and pushed her, with in the split moment of her falling backwards Y/n grabbed Wandas hand pulling her down into the water.

Wanda let out a squeal as Y/n held her hand as they both hit the water. Wanda immediately swam up to the surface gasping at the sudden move Y/n had made.

Y/n decided to go further with the teasing so she continued to stay underwater swimming to Wandas legs and lightly brushed them causing Wanda to start kicking, scared about something in the water going after her.

Once she freed herself from the invisible creature she went to the steps on the side of the deck pulling herself up allowing all the water her clothes soaked up to fall on the wood beneath her feet.

Once Y/n made her way back into the surface she scoffed when she saw Wanda already out of the water. "You really are no fun." She said loud enough for Wanda to make out what was being said.

Y/n decided to swim out a bit further while Wanda stood still of Y/n's words watching her have fun in the water with no one to keep her company.

As much as Wanda wanted to leave and walk away from Y/n noticing the effect she had on the redhead, the other part of her wanted to stay and continue spending time with her. That part was screaming.

With a sigh Wanda hesitantly removed her shirt and went back into the water. She let herself get used to the feeling before she started making her way over to the girl she could've easily mistake for a golden retriever seeing her smile.

"I thought you didn't want to be in the water."

Wanda rolled her eyes and responded, "You seemed bored without me." She teased.

"You got that right." Y/n said as she continued to swim, Wanda furrowed her brows at Y/n's words but was pulled from her thoughts when she heard her talking again, "You coming or are you my personal lifesaver?"

With another eye roll and a slight chuckle Wanda followed behind Y/n.

Their swim continued to be filled with laugher and play flighting. Y/n and Wanda trying to continuously one up each other.

When Y/n flicked a bit of water on Wandas face of course she couldn't let it go so she lowered her arm in the water lifting it to completely soak Y/n back.

"You don't play fair Maximoff." She said as she started climbing out of the water as Wanda kept her gaze on Y/n's form watching the way the water dripped down her face.

"I didn't know there were rules." She fought back earning a scoff.

"There's always rules," Y/n made a towel appear around her, "and you my friend think they're for breaking." She reached her hand out to the redhead.

Wanda took it as she gripped onto Y/n's forearm and pulled herself up. When she was fully out of the water the two where closer than expected.

Both faces inches from each other, their heart rate both increased, Y/n pushed the warm feeling down blocking out the quiet voices in the back of her head as she cleared her throat releasing her grip from Wanda.

"We should probably dry off." She said breaking eye contact to look at the floor and walked over to the love seat picking her shirt back up.

Wanda watched as she made a second towel appear in the seat. Y/n turned around to look at Wanda again giving her a smile as she tossed the shirt over her shoulder and made her way back up to the compound.
