"Lying was her oxygen."
- Ezra Fitz

It was the next day in school when Hanna, Emily, and I entered the bathroom. However, I suddenly stopped my tracks when we saw Spencer there.

"Hey." Emily greets with a smile.

"Hey." Spencer says as she turns to us.

"What are you wearing?" I ask confused. I cross my arms confused as I took a look at her outfit. She was wearing a blue sweatshirt, gym shorts, and flip flops.

"It's nothing, I... I had to change. And this is all I had in my gym locker." Spencer says nervously.

"Did you? Did you have an accident?" Emily whispers confused. "What? No." Spencer says annoyed.

"Or are you going to? What's up with those shower shoes?" Hanna asks confused.

"Can you just forget about the outfit, okay. We have an emergency situation here." Spencer says as she walks over to lock the bathroom door.

"Is that why you called me at 4:00 a.m.?" Emily asks confused.

"Wait, what?" I ask confused. "Okay, I thought that after we saw Aria lip locking with the devil you went home to calm down and crash." Hanna says confused.

"I... I must've just hit dial while I was asleep. Look, okay, I know we said we were going to talk to Aria after school, but I really think we need to tell her about Ezra sooner. Like, now." Spencer says quickly.

"What? Spencer, we can't tell her now." Emily says worried.

"The longer we wait, the more dangerous it becomes." Spencer complains to us. "And you think it's any less dangerous to drop a bomb like that while she's going into class?" Hanna asks frustrated.

"We can't do that to her." I say in agreement.

"Do what? Protect her? Ezra spoke to me this morning and I could barely maintain eye contact. Meanwhile, for all we know right now, Aria is hooking up with him in some janitor's closet. How does that not make your skin crawl?" Spencer rambles on frustrated.

"It does. Look, I know you don't want to keep her in the dark. Okay, but this isn't going to be easy. She's in love with him and she has given up a lot to be with him." Emily says as she turns to me.

"Em's right Spencer. I mean, it's going to be difficult enough for her to believe he's even capable of this." I say in agreement.

I sigh as the bell rings. "Let's do this later." I say as I exit the bathroom.

It was now lunch when Hanna, Emily, and I all sat in the court yard. I cross my arms and lean against the table as Hanna continues to stare at Emily's lunch tray.

"Are you gonna eat that?" Hanna asks as she points at Emily's cheese stick.

"Yeah, I told you that like five seconds ago." Emily says annoyed. I roll my eyes as Hanna continues to stare at it.
