nina salazar roberts. one of the most dedicated, caring, and sweet girls you'll find in salt lake city. she looks put together on the outside...but on the inside? it's a whole different story. one that nobody's every heard...not even her own friends...
"A...song...", Nina replies, "I guess I'll take that as a...big no..."
I watch as she frowns and lets out a sigh, slouching down in her seat. Nobody ever knows about my...music life...if you will. I mean, I can play a couple instruments and I can sing. I have written songs before, but nobody's ever heard them. And I've never done music in front of anybody. So, I guess when she brought it up, I got scared, but...seeing as we're getting no where with this, I had to make up my mind on whether I should agree or not. I sat there thinking hard about it.
"Fine.", I mumble.
She turns towards me, "Fine what?"
"We can do a song...", I sigh.
Her face lights up and she smiles, "Oh my gosh yes! This is gonna be great!"
I watch as she pulls out a separate notebook and I give her an odd expression.
"What's that?", I ask.
"Oh...uh...it's my song writing notebook.", she shyly replies.
"Oh, cool."
"So...what should the song be about?", she asks me.
"Oh, uh...I dunno.", I shrug.
We sit there in silence for around ten minutes just trying to think of ideas. As more time begins to pass, I'm about to speak up but get interrupted by a ringtone. I see Nina nervously chuckle as she picks her phone up.
"Uh sorry about that. One second.", she says, getting up and walking outside of my room to answer the call.
As she talks, I continue trying to think of things to write about. You know...this wasn't too bad. But...I'm sure it'll end up getting worse. I jump as my bedroom door suddenly gets opened. I watch Nina walk inside, breathing heavily.
"Woah uh...what's- what's wrong?", I ask, getting up from my chair.
"Oh uh...n-nothing's wrong. I- I gotta get going. I'm s-sorry. We can...finish another time.", she anxiously speaks, shoving her notebooks in her bag. Before I know it, she's gone. I stand there in my room, trying to figure out what just happened.
