"So, Izuku. How was last week? Did you have fun?" Mirio asked with a chuckle

Izuku perked up and m got super excited when he was asked about his week. Well it's only been two days, but to be completely honest, he was very happy about the new change and was eager to tell Mirio all about it.

"Oh i- it was fine. Packing wa- was tiring and I wa- was a little sad to m- move even though I don't real- really miss it, but I gre- grew up there you know? Leav- Leaving behind all those memories makes me a- a little melancholy." Izuku answered

Mirio listened to Izuku's chatter with at him a fond smile. If he was comfortable and you got him talking Izuku wouldn't stop until you interrupted him, but Mirio didn't mind. As long as he was talking and sorting out his thoughts honestly it was good.

Due to their closeness, Izuku was comfortable with Mirio. He was like family to the shorter and Mirio knew under the stuttering words were Izuku's excited to be voiced thoughts that he wishes he would freely let about with other people besides his mother and his therapist.

Mirio was more than happy to help him get to that point and he's progressing, albeit a little slower than the blonde would like, but progress is progress.

Lately he's come to the realization that Izuku isn't just a cute and chubby baby that he used to be. He couldn't believe how much the greenette grew up and matured. Although in Mirio's eyes he'll still be that cute kid that muttered on and on about his favorite superhero.

When they were younger and Mirio was still in college Izuku would always ask him to play hide and seek when he came to visit the boy and his mother. Mirio of course would let Izuku win. Seeing Izuku's smile was contagious to everyone around him no matter how bad they were feeling.

Don't get him wrong though, he is really happy to see how Izuku has grown up so much. Since Izuku is, finally, a little more comfortable with socializing Mirio hopes that being in a new place with new people will make him open up more.

That's all the vibrant blonde wanted for Izuku. Just a normal life where people would be less harsh and more understanding. Izuku was kind and would give you anything you needed if he could. So Mirio didn't want people to make him feel out of place, Izuku deserved better.

"Unfortunately when leaving a place you know so well, it can make you feel kinda bothered." Mirio kept his smile

Izuku nodded returning the smile.

"Oh, how did the task I gave you go?" He asked

Izuku shrugged.
"Well I met a lot of my new ne- neighbors. They were really frien- friendly and easygoing. I liked ha- how they didn't make fun of me f- for my stutter either that woul- would've been embarrassing and I- I don't want the whole neigh- borhood to dislike me." He answered

"Did you make something as piece offering like I suggested?" Mirio questioned

"Yep!" Izuku nodded

Yes, what Izuku did when they first moved was a part of his therapy and was recommended by Mirio. He thought it'd be nice to have Izuku go around the neighborhood and greet them along with giving a delicious treat to improve his social skills.

"Yes! I we- went and gave ev- everyone a home- homemade pie. I thought that would be a good idea sin- since baking helps keeps me calm." Izuku stated

"How did they react?" Mirio asked

"Most of t-them we- were really ki- kind and sweet, but the- there were a few so- sour grapes, if you- you know what I mean. Um... like Mrs. F-Figg, she kin- kinda shrugged me off an- and shut the do-door one me." Izuku added with a slight frown then he smiled again

"But the other neigh- neighbours said it wa- was normal for her to- to be like that. She's ap- apparently not a ver- very friendly lady" He explained with a small pout

Mirio intently listened and contemplated whether he should make Izuku go talk to Mrs. Figg or not.

"Well other than her i'm glad you talked with some of your new neighbors which us great Izuku! Have you made any friends so far or at least talked to someone more than once?" Mirio questioned

"Um... yea my nex- next door neighbor, I think. I met him and his moth- mother first. They're the Bakugou's. His name is Kat- Katsuki though and he even walk- walked me here to- to make sure I didn't ge- get lost! That would've been embarra- ssing too, if I got lo- ost I mean." Izuku informed

"Oh he's a ye- year older than me an- and kinda rude, but he can nice too I- I guess. He al- also said I could ca- call him I- if I ever need- needed a ride or some- something." He added with a small smile

The taller blonde hummed to Izuku's words with a small, fond smile on his face while the greenette cheerfully explained to him.

"He seems pretty nice. I think I've actually heard of his name somewhere. Oh well, I'll let you know when I remember." Mirio replied with a light laugh

Izuku simply nodded, not even registering what Mirio was actually saying. Mind was too busy reminiscing the events from earlier.

They've talked twice which is more than most so encouraged Izuku. Even though they chatted the shorter stopped himself a lot of times. He was worried that Katsuki might get annoyed by listening to him stutter or stop talking to him when he gets bored.

To others, including Katsuki, it was utter nonsense, but bullies of the past have ingrained that mindset into Izuku so now somehow it made sense in his mind.

"Izuku, our time for today is over. Time really flies when you're having fun." Mirio said making Izuku look up at the clock

He sighed sadly once he saw the time. Actually, they could keep speaking for how long they want since they are technically friends, but setting a routine for Izuku is good.

He might not realize it but It can also be bit overwhelming for him even if he wanted to continue. Too much and Izuku could have a panic attack of triggered so pacing himself is beneficial to his mental health.

Mirio though it would be best to set tharapy sessions two days a week, on Tuesday and Saturday for one hour. That gave Izuku enough time reassess between sessions and they decided it was a good idea so that was their routine.

"Yea, you- you're right." He laughed lightly

"I'll walk you to the door." Mirio said with a kind smile

"Thank yo- you!" Izuku returned it, he didn't really wanna leave but he knew he had too

It happens every time after their therapy sessions. Today was Saturday and Izuku would get to meet Mirio again on Tuesday. It just felt like forever to the smaller, but Izuku will have to suck it up and wait. Mirio has other patients anyways.

"Bye Izuku, I'll see you on Tuesday!" Mirio waved as the smaller walked down the concrete path to the sidewalk

"B- bye Togata!" Izuku waved back with a smile as he headed towards his home
