Chapter 58: So...

The four of them, Inko, Yagi, Katsuki and Izuku, all ate together in comfortable silence for a few minutes. Until it was broken by the sweet woman on the table.

"So, how's the food?" Inko asked, expectantly looking at the boys

"I- it's go- good! As a- always." Izuku giggled

"Yes darling, it is great. I wish I could always have it." Yagi chuckled, the older man had his own apartment close to where he and Inko works at but he usually buys lunch or cooks for himself which is very rare. Recently though, specifically when he started dating Inko, she's been a sweetheart and brings enough food for the two of them for lunch

"Sweetie, if you want me to cook for you more, you know you can just tell me." She told him with a smile

"It's great, Auntie. Different from Ma and Pa's but still good." Katsuki said, his parents usually focus on lots of spiciness so having a nice change of pace was nice though he does love himself some spicy stuff

"Thank you, boys. I'm glad you enjoyed my food." Inko smiled sweetly at them

The three nodded at her as they continued to eat.

"Oh by the way, how's school been Izuku?" Inko asked her son

"I- it's be- been go- good, e- especially wi- with my f- friends." Izuku answered as he smiled 

"That's good, I'm happy for you." She smiled back
"What about you, Katsuki?" She asked him too

"Oh, I'm done with school so I'm working with my parents." He told her

"With their fashion business right?" The blonde nodded after she clarified

"That's nice." She hummed

"So are you two dating?" She suddenly asked the two younger boys making them almost choke on their food

"M- mom!" Izuku exclaimed as his face went red

"Um.." Katsuki mumbled

"Oh, were you two keeping it a secret?" She questioned, worried she asked a bit too early for them, maybe they weren't ready to tell them yet

"Honey." Yagi said with a chuckle as he patted her arm lightly making her look over at him, confused and seemingly very innocent

"We- we're n- not d- da- dating..." Izuku muttered as he looked down at his face, feeling really bummed to admit it because he really likes Katsuki yet he doesn't know if the blonde likes him back

"... Yet." Katsuki said out of nowhere which surprised everyone on the table with him but he didn't say anything about it despite the tips of his ears going red and feeling internally embarrassed

The male greenette blushed even more as he gulped but didn't ask anything to the blonde beside him yet because he felt too shy.

Inko and Yagi on the other hand looked at each other and smiled as they did. These boys were still very young but it seemed like they had something for each other. They're not going to force anything out though.

"Take your time, my boys." Yagi said with a fatherly smile towards the two as they nodded

Dinner finished after a little more chatting. The table was then tidied up and cleaned with their plates put into the sink.

"I ca- can w- wash th- the d- dishes, Mom." Izuku volunteered

"You sure, dear? You can spend more time with Katsuki if you want." Inko asked as he nodded and smiled

"Do- don't w- worry, I c- can ha- handle it!" He replied

"I'm gon' help him, Auntie." Katsuki told them

"Y- you do- don't h- have to, Ka- Kacchan! You- you're a gu- guest!" Izuku said, flailing his hands

"Don't stress it, Zuku." The blonde said
"I don't mind helping, it'd get cleaned faster." He added

"O- okay then." The greenette nodded

"Sounds good, we'll be by the living room if you two need anything." Yagi said as he put his arm around Inko's shoulder as the two boys nodded at them before the couple went to go to the couch to watch the show they've been watching for a while now

With that, they left Izuku and Katsuki in the kitchen sink alone. The smaller of the two was blushing and feeling embarrassed whilst the taller was there, acting all casual even though his heart was thumping loudly in his chest.

"Let's get started." Katsuki told him which made Izuku jolt in surprise and squeak as he nodded

They got to work, it was quiet. Although it was silent between the two besides the clanking of plates, utensils and glasses, it wasn't as awkward as they thought. It was again broken when the blonde spoke.

"I'm serious about what I said, Izuku." He said

"W- what d- do you me- mean?" Izuku asked

"Us, not dating. Yet, I want to change that." Katsuki bravely stated as he looked at Izuku who was already looking back at him with the reddest face he's probably ever had

"R- re- really...?" The greenette questioned shyly

"Yes, really." The taller answered as Izuku nodded quietly as he bit his lower cheek 

"O- okay the- then." The smaller replied

Katsuki was so damn nervous! He can't fucking believe he just said that! But he's a man of his words, he won't say shit he doesn't mean or won't do. Izuku didn't react negatively about it so he considers that to be something, he ain't backing down from his words.

They continued to wash the dishes, scrubbing them clean then rinsing them together as well as drying them before putting them in their designated place. Before either of them could say anything, Katsuki suddenly leaned downwards and closer to Izuku then kissed his cheek lightly making the smaller squeak and blush as he held his cheek.

"W- wha- Ka- Ka- d- did yo- you-.." Izuku stammered as he looked at the taller

"I did." Katsuki said
"Was it too fast?" He asked, now feeling nervous

"N- no! B- b- but yo- you ju- just k- ki- kissed m- my ch- cheek!" The smaller said, he couldn't believe this was happening!

Katsuki chuckled making butterflies erupt in Izuku's tummy. 
"I did kiss your cheek." He smiled softly

Neither of them couldn't believe it, even the man responsible of doing it but he didn't regret it. Especially with Izuku reacting this cutely about it, he was so shy, so embarrassed that he just wants to squeeze him tightly against his chest and keep him to himself.

The greenette had too many thoughts, recently he's been having happier thoughts and those were the ones going through his mind right now as he panics and takes it all in.

Was it finally time that things move forward for the both of them...?
