8-bit's POV

You know, ever since that new arcade game "Battle For Earth" came out, crowds in the arcade has been increasing. I mean, that's good and all cos like I get loads more money but...this is just boring. Sitting at the counter all day watching people play...but never getting the chance to play for yourself. I gotta sit here all day and do basically nothing.

3rd person POV

A little girl came to the counter with tickets to exchange for a prize. 8-bit forced a smile and took the tickets. He gave the girl what she wanted and she left. 8-bit's face became down again and he started spinning in his rotating chair.

"Sometimes I wish life could have more action for me..." 8-bit sighed as he took a ball and started tossing it up and down. "Even in the event that an action-based battle happens, I never get to participate. The brawls are all with the same people...the "Battle For Planet Earth" had me to defend citizens, that's all." You would think that 8-bit would have been satisfied by having to fight against invaders in his city, but having to fight only one to two guys was too easy and boring. "I wish I had more action in my life!" He screamed, internally. "Even if I did get adventure and battles, that one time Virus had attacked, I wasn't even in control to do anything!"

8-bit decided to calm himself down and placed his hands on the counter to start browsing his phone on news.

Suddenly, something caught his eyes.

"Space Colonel, Ruffs, came with his colleague, Pam, to introduce their new spaceship. People who are interested, come quickly to the exhibition of the ship!"

8-bit's eyes widened. He wanted to see it, but the arcade's open all day...so he would miss it anyways.

However, 8-bit already had a plan. He placed his finger on the speaker for the arcade and his firm voice echoed through the arcade. "The arcade would be closed for maintenance. Please exit in ten minutes." When 8-but turned the speaker off, he could hear many kids and teenagers groaning. He could care less.

8-bit exited the arcade and locked the doors to the counter with a keycard. After so, he waited for everyone to exit. He then proceeded to shut the arcade down. As 8-bit proceeded to get to the elevator which would lead to the exhibition nearby, he saw multiple brawlers gathering and waiting for the large elevator platform.

8-bit was surprised to find Darryl and his crew here as well. He slowly came to them and they turned to watched him run towards them. After many seconds, he finally managed to get to them. "Hey 8-bit, we kinda expected you to be here mate. But don'tcha have an arcade to take care of? Especially after we delivered that stupid arcade game to your doorstep." Darryl spoke. 8-bit laughed, "I sorted that mission up and wanted to see something different for once. Also, why are you guys here?"

Penny flipped a coin and answered, "Cap'n wanted to see if Ruffs had made a ship better than our masterpiece to compare both the spaceship, and Darryl's Ship."Darryl laughed, "As if that Puppy stands a chance!" The crew laughed until Tick's laughter annoyed everyone.

They stopped and looked at the bomb. He was still unaware until Darryl glared at him. Tick's bomb head went into his body as 8-bit started talking again. "You do know that ship may be using Pam's skills and the parts from the crashed ships in the epic battle for earth..." Darryl crossed his arms and whistled, "Not like that's gonna help." They laughed harder.

8-bit shrugged and left to see another brawler. In the crowd of people and brawlers, 8-bit saw Lou. "Lou? Of all people? Doesn't Mr. P hate him when he's not doing his job?" 8-bit thought. As he trudged through the crowd, Lou spotted him. Lou came to 8-bit to reduce how much he needed to walk.

"Hey friend! You must be wondering why uncle Lou is here today!" 8-bit smiled, "Yeah! How'd you get here? Doesn't Mr. P want you dead all the time?" Lou chuckled, "There's a saying, 'No rest for the wicked.' Gale's got my back. That old man! Such a nice guy." 8-bit knew what Gale was capable off. Even at his age, Gale could talk his way out of many things. He even agreed to go on the dangerous ride of the "Baggage Blaster." and survived it.

Out of the sudden, Brock, Rico and Piper came out of nowhere and scared the bits out of 8-bit. "BOOMBOX BABY!" Brock started blasting music and breakdancing. 8-bit placed slit eyes on his screen as it went purple and there were three lines on the side. "Brock...stop, you're embarrassing us in front of everyone." Rico coughed. "Yes! Mind your manners!" Piper chirped.

Brock stopped his music and got to his feet. "Okay. Okay. I'll stop." While they chatted, the lift was finally here and the crowd of people stepped in. The platform of people floated up and carried all the brawlers and people up through a transparent pillar.

The bright lights of the dark arcade city flickered and Pam's scrapyard could be seen in the distance with a landing platform in the middle. Rico pointed at the platform and said, "That wasn't there before." 8-bit knew it was for the spaceship and was excited to see it.

As the lift continued ascending upward, Super City could be seen near Arcade City. Followed by a desert connecting the two. In the middle was Brawl Town, where Colt and some others dwelled in. The Sacred Forest at the side was regrowned by the biologists trio with the help of Bo. Tara's Bazaar was in the right, beside the two cities, many pyramids were restored with Gene, Sandy and Tara's magic. Everything felt as if nothing had happened. The place was fixed rather quickly due to magical capabilities.

Before anyone knew it, the platform had reached the top and people were getting off. 8-bit followed Lou and the pirates as they entered a large stadium painted with futuristic looks. Platforms and cranes were seen everywhere. A large road extended out from the tower and a large ship sat on top near the start of the road. 8-bit grew excited every minute, "Now this is something!" He shouted in his game voice. The roof was a glass dome and people wandered about the huge area.

8-bit ran to see the spaceship and realised it was powered by an unknown material. A protective case below the ship showed a flowing orb of multi-colours. The flow of colours resembled a galaxy in the middle. 8-bit read the information that had been uncovered thus far about the unknown energy. There were also some parts and pieces of scrap from the crashed ships. They were the engines and weapons of the ships, all dismantled.

The arcade bot always dreamed of being in a space ship, driving around in space. There was even a game about him traveling through space. Exploring the vast number of planets. Too bad that's fiction.

After looking through many of the exhibits, Colonel Ruffs came on a screen, many people looked up at the colonel and listened,

"For people who know they are strong enough to withstand the dangers of space, may sign up to join the space crew. We'll need volunteers on the expedition we are doing. If you are just here to be tourist and guest, leave. Only limited places. Have some skills in fighting, and be above 12. Ruffs, out."

8-bit had stars in his eyes as he rushed to the registering counter. Not many people were there, which surprised 8-bit. He saw some of his friends who were brawlers. Either way, he still wanted to join. 8-bit filled up the form without thinking what dangers he was facing.

No ones ever prepared for the future...

Authors note: I wrote this late at night so there may be more grammar and vocabulary issues.

Edit: I forgot to put Retropolis, so that area would be part of Arcade City
