Alex caught a glimpse of the clock, "6:00," he read. He took one final caring look at the still ghost on his bed, and rose slowly from his seat in the corner. He grabbed some clothes and a towel before walking out to the bathroom. He intended to take a shower, but after he turned on the water, he just climbed in still wearing his cloths from the day before. He stood I'm the boiling water, his shirt clinging to his skin as water ran down his back. His jeans soked in minutes and his dark black hair dripped water down his face.

He stood in the shower for an hour until the water ran cold. He had zoned out and when he snapped back to reality his nails on both hands had dug into his palms, so deep that they were bleeding. He sighed, and washed the cuts in his hands in the cold water before he turned the water off and grabbed a towel. He took off his wet clothes and dried his skin and hair before he put on a clean pair of black ripped jeans and a dark blue long sleeved shirt.

Alex stood infront of the mirror and made note of his wet, messy hair, his tired face and the bags under his eyes and sighed. He cleaned up his wet clothes and towel and brought them out of the bathroom with him and to his room where he threw them as close to his cloths hamper as he had the energy to, before returning to the corner.

Dream had been awoken by the sound of running water. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, seeing George still asleep beside him, he figured it was Alex taking a shower and decided to ignore it. He sat up in the bed next to the sleeping George and just listened for the water to stop. After half an hour of listening to the water, he heard it stop and soon after heard Alex return to his room.

Alex sat in the corner with his legs up to his chest and his arms resting on the top of each knee, his hair still dripping wet and his palms still slowly leaking blood. His eyes stared unfocused on his bloody hands as water from his hair slowly dripped down his face. Part of him didn't want the ghost on his bed to wake up and see him like this, but he knew that he would understand.

George slowly opened his eyes. He looked over at his alarm clock to see that it hadn't gone off and he had overslept. He sat up quickly, realizing that Dream was still in the bed with him, and turned to see the ghost resting against the head rest with his eyes closed calmly. He chose not to disturb him, and got up to go shower. He grabbed a towel and made sure to grab cloths aswell, and walked out of his room and into the bathroom next door. He locked the door and striped of his old clothing before turning on the water and stepping into the shower only to be met with ice cold water.

George shivered in the cold water. He quickly finished up his shower and turned off the water. He grabbed his towel off the hook, and wrapped it around his waist. George stepped out of the shower, and walked over to the sink to brush his teeth only to see blood coating the inside. He stared at the bloody sink, worry in his eyes, and quietly dried off and put on clean clothes before he brought his towel to his cloths hamper and walked over to the closed door to Alex's room.

"Alex? Are you alright in there?" George asked through the door.

"I'm fine. Just go away please." Alex's voice floated through the door to George's ears.

"Alright, sorry to bother. Take care of yourself." George said before he left back to his room.

"What was that about?" Dream asked when George got back to his room.

"I'm worried about Alex, the sink in the bathroom is all bloody and he is hiding in his room. The door is locked. I don't know what to do." George ranted.

"Hey, I'm sure he's ok, just give him some space. Let him come out when he's ready, don't be pushy or he will be there longer." Dream advised.

"Y-yeah, I, I guess you're right."

Alex sat in the corner, blood dripping from his palms onto the hardwood flooring. He shifted his gaze away from his still bleeding hands to Karl, the ghost calmly sleeping under all of the warm blankets that Alex had covered him in the night before. His gaze stayed on the limp body as he prayed the ghost would wake up soon.

Karl's chest rose and fell rhythmically. The only sign to Alex that the ghost was still "alive." As Alex's eyes fell back to the pool of blood forming infront of him, he missed the ghost stir. Karl had shifted to his side and then onto his stomach. He squinted at the bright blue lights around him. Karl sat up slowly in the bed, and it groaned at his movement.

Alex's head shot up. His eyes were unfocused and blurry, but he knew nonetheless what he was looking at. Karl turned his head to see Alex, his hands were bleeding badly, and he looked like a mess. Alex's eyes glistened in the blue light, Karl realized quickly that he was crying and got down from the floating bed and nelt down infront of him. Karl smiled at Alex, and wrapped his arms around his neck.

Alex felt tears drip from his cheeks, he hoped to god that they weren't dripping on the ghost. His arms fell to his sides, leaving a trail of blood on either side of him. Karl pulled out of the hug, noticing the dampness of Alex's hair, and left the room for a moment before returning with a medical kit and some bandages.

Karl cleaned the cuts on Alex's hands and wrapped both of his hands in the medical bandage. Karl had doctor history, so he made good use of it cleaning and tending to Alex's wounds. He stood up and pulled Alex to his feet, he sat Alex on his bed and told him to get some sleep. Alex refused, saying that he had already showered and gotten ready for the day, and Karl claimed up in the bed next to him and layed him down on his lap. It didn't take long until Alex was sleeping softly on Karl's lap. Karl rested his head against the head rest and listened to the sound of his and Alex's breathing.
