Before we begin, please wait to play the song until told! Please enjoy!

"Dream?" Karl's faint voice filtered through the pantry door.

"Good morning! Did I wake you?" Dream said, keeping his voice cheerful.

"No, no I've been up for a bit." Karl reassured, "you need any help in there?"

"We don't have any good food, it's all expired." Dream answered.

"I can see if Alex will go back to the house and get some things, it's kinda sunny out." Karl said, rubbing his shoulder for a reason unknown to Dream.

"That would be great, but if he's still asleep you don't have to wake him."

"Sure!"

Karl walked out of the kitchen as Dream began cleaning up the mess he had made, not bothering to throw away the expired food. After the mess was cleaned up, Dream returned to the main room to see that Alex and Karl were gone and the others were still asleep. A small smile crossed Dream's lips as he caught a shining glint of something in the corner.

He walked over, picking up the object and sighing quietly. He walked back into the back room with his old guitar and it's scuffs and busted string. Dream set the guitar on the old desk and reached into one of the drawers, he pulled out a small paper bag with replacement guitar strings in it and reached back down for his string cutter.

As Dream sat at the desk, cutting strings and then pulling them out of the guitar and placing in the new ones, he felt at home. Dream had always loved music, and he loved even more when he sat down and wrote a song.

Dream smiled softly as he propped his guitar up on his knee. He tuned his strings slowly, making sure to get them just perfect. Dream strummed a few chords, smiling again as he cleared his throat.

Now would be the time to start planning the above song!

"It's a classic me mistake, someone gives me love and I throw it all away~" Dream sang softly along with his guitar.

"Tell me have I gone insane? Talking to myself but I don't know what to say"

"Cause you let go, and now I'm holding on~ I guess you don't know what you got, until it's gone~"

Dream took a sharp inhale, "sometimes you gotta loose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~ and I do, and I do, and I do, yeah~"

"Sometimes you gotta loose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~ sometimes you gotta loose somebody."

"So don't tell me it's too late
Hearts are made to bend, baby, please don't let me break, yeah. I knew I should've stayed, cause now you're moving on and I don't know what to say"

"Cause you let go, and now I'm holding on. I guess you don't know what you got, until it's gone."

Dream felt a familiar sizzle down his cheeks.

"Sometimes you gotta lose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~, and I do, and I do, and I do, yeah."

"Sometimes you gotta lose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~, yeah. Sometimes you gotta loose somebody."

Dream strummed through the song, humming with the instrumental.

"Sometimes you gotta loose somebody, yeah.
Sometimes you gotta loose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~, and I do, and I do, and I do, yeah~"

He smiled as he played through the end of the song, sizzling tears still steaming from his cheeks.

"Sometimes you gotta loose somebody! Just to find out you really love someone, oh~oh~oh~, yeah.
Sometimes you gotta loose somebody."

He strummed more aggressively then he intended, on the verge of snapping the strings if the song had been any longer.

"Sometimes you gotta loose some- you gotta loose somebody."

Dream smiled down at the ground, tears still dripping from his eyes and burning down his cheeks onto his guitar. He hoped he hadn't woken anyone. Dream had thought he was over her, but that dream last night had brought back the traumatic memories.

Dream had had a girlfriend when he was alive, she was the perfect match for Dream. He had loved her, and she had returned the feelings. He always thought their life would be perfect with each other, but about two years before Dream was murdered, she had been killed when their apartment building had caught fire. The last memory he had of her was when she was taken away in the ambulance, her skin black with charred burns.

He had gotten out of the building with only a large burn scar up his left side, she had not been so lucky. Her name had been Jennifer, but Dream refused to call her anything but Jen or Jenny. She still haunted him in his nightmares. Standing in a burning building and waiting as the oxygen ran out and the building collapsed on his love.

Dream had grown to hate the idea of getting close to someone, because he knew it would always end the same. Jennifer used to always call him her bad luck trophy, and she had been right. Surprise was an understatement when he had not had the same reoccurring nightmare, but instead had experienced the strange, all to realistic dream.

He felt bad for bothering Alex though, and hoped that he wouldn't say anything to the others. He wanted to talk with him about it, but not around the others. He sat in the desk chair, gripping his guitar close as if his life depended on it, and cried softly into its soft and sculpted wood.
