After having their lunch, Arpita and Yash went to visit the gynaecologist. They were sitting in the waiting area, waiting for their turn. Yash looked at Arpita, who was biting her nails in nervousness.
"Shh, calm down, Aru. Everything will be fine," he said, kissing her head.
"Hmm," she said, leaning her head on his shoulder and locking their hands.
"Mrs. Arpita Yashwanth Narayan."
Arpita and Yash stood up, upon hearing the name. They took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Come in," said the doctor from the inside.
Yash and Arpita moved inside and greeted the doctor.
"Hey, guys! How are you?" greeted the doctor.
"We are fine, Krithi. How are you and everyone at home?" asked Yash.
"I'm super fine. Amma and Nanna went to Canada to visit Aadhi Anna and Nayana (her brother's daughter)," said Krithi.
(Dr. Krithika is Yash’s senior at AIIMS Delhi.)
"So, what's the news?" Krithi asked, raising her eyebrow.
"We are pregnant," Yash said, feeling delighted.
"Yash, you sit here. Arpita, you come with me," said Krithi.
She did some tests, and after that, they again went inside the cabin.
"I'll send the reports to your home tomorrow. Are you ready to see your baby?" said Krithi.
Yash and Arpita nodded their heads.
Arpita lay down on the small bed and lifted her top a little up. Krithi applied gel to her stomach.
"Are you guys ready?" asked Krithi.
Yash held Arpita's hand, and both of them nodded their heads.
"Guys, did you hear that?" Asked Krithi with excitement.
"Yes," said Arpita and Yash, feeling ecstatic.
"Wait, wait, did you hear that?" Asked Krithi surprised.
"I heard two heartbeats!" Yash said doubtfully.
"Even me," said Arpita.
"Congrats guys! That's because you are going to have twins. Now look at the screen,"said Krithi.
Yash jumped in happiness and kissed Arpita's forehead lovingly, while Arpita had tears of happiness in her eyes.
