Author's POV:
Now, Arpita is five months pregnant. She was sitting in the waiting area of the hospital, along with Meena and Radha. Yash couldn't come with her as he had an important seminar today. She was biting her nails nervously while waiting for her turn.
"Calm down, Arpita. Everything will be fine," Meena said, trying to calm her down.
"Last time, Krithika said that I'm weak and have an iron deficiency. What if something happens to my babies?" Arpita said, getting tense.
"Everything will be okay, Kanna. Trust me. Don't worry unnecessarily. It's not good for you and the babies," said Radha.
"Hmm," Arpita said, resting her head on Meena's shoulder.
They sat there for some more time when they heard the nurse calling her name.
"Mrs. Arpita Yashwanth Narayan."
"Common, let's go," said Meena, and she helped Arpita stand.
Three of them went inside the doctor's cabin.
"Hey, Krithika!" Arpita greeted her.
"Hey, Arpita. How are you and your little ones doing?" asked Krithika.
"Good," Arpita said meekly.
"Arpita, be active. If you are active, then your babies will also be active. At least you tell her Nanamma," said Kruthika.
"I'm telling her the same, but from a few days on, she has not been herself," Radha said, sighing.
"Hmm. Arpita, come with me," said Krithika. "You guys sit here. We will come."
Meena and Radha sat there while Krithika and Arpita went from there. They were sitting and talking when a little girl came inside, shouting "Kithu Atta."
Meena and Radha turned around and saw a little girl of around three years old standing at the door with her hands on her hips. Meena and Radha smiled at her, and she gave them a cute smile in return.
Meena went towards that little girl and kneeled down in front of her.
She looked around and asked, "Hey, baby! Did you come here alone?"
"No, Dadda, ish (is) hele (here)," that baby said, smiling cutely. "Whele (where) ish (is) Klithu (Krithu) Atta?"
"You mean, Krithika?" Meena asked that baby girl, to which she bobbed her head.
"She is inside. Come," Meena said, picking up the little girl in her arms.
Meena made her sit on Krithika's chair, and she took her place.
"Nayana?" A man in his late twenties stood at the door and sighed, looking at his daughter.
"How many times do I have to tell you to be with Dadda? Do you know how tense I was when I didn't find you beside me?" that man said, coming inside.
Nayana's eyes welled up with tears, making the man melt. He went towards his baby and picked her up in his arms.
"Dadda is sorry, baby. He won't shout at you again," he said, kissing his little girl's forehead.
"Aadi Anna?" Krithika said, coming towards them. "When did you come from Canada?"
"Morning. We wanted to surprise you, so we didn't tell you that we were coming. Right, baby?" he said, poking his daughter's chubby cheeks.
Nayana giggled and bobbed her head cutely, making everyone chuckle at her cuteness. She looked at her aunt and spread her arms, gesturing for her to pick her up in her arms.
"Hey, Aadi Anna! How are you?" Arpita greeted Aadi.
"I'm fine, Arpita! How is Yash?" Aadi asked Arpita.
"He is fine too. She is growing up fast," Arpita said, looking at Nayana.
"Yes!" Aadi said, admiring her daughter, who was giggling as her aunt was making weird faces.
"Anna, you guys sit in the waiting area for some time. I have another appointment after Arpita. Then, I'm free. We will go home together," said Krithika. Aadi nodded his head and tried to take Nayana from Krithika's arms, but she wrapped her arms tightly around Krithika, making him sigh.
