Author's POV:
Arpita is preparing snacks for the kids. She had come early from the office to spend some time with her twins. She seriously can't believe that they turned ten a few days ago. She is preparing Varsha's favourite kheema samosa and strawberry milkshake and Vansh's favourite stuffed bread pakora and chocolate and dates milkshake.
She was frying samosas when she heard her twins shout, "Amma!"
They ran inside the kitchen and hugged her from either side.
"Sh, move aside. There is hot oil in the pan," said Arpita.
"Umm! The aroma itself is making me hungry, Amma," Varsha said, peeping inside the pan.
Vansh pouted and asked, "Amma, what about me? Didn't you prepare my favourite?"
Arpita turned around, ruffled his hair, and said, "I have prepared your favourite stuffed bread pakora. Now go and freshen up. I'll prepare your favourite milkshakes by then."
They kissed her cheeks and said, "I love you, Amma," and ran from there.
They came down after freshening up and changing into comfortable wear and hopped onto the high chairs at the breakfast countertop.
"Amma, we are back," said Varsha and Vansh.
"I'm coming," said Arpita, serving snacks for them on two plates.
"Amma, fast!" shouted the twins.
"There you go," Arpita said, putting plates in front of them.
She then gave them their respective milkshake glasses and hopped on the other chair.
"Umm, it's yummy, Amma," Varsha and Vansh said, taking a bite of samosa and bread pakora.
"Thank you! So, what did you guys do in school today?" asked Arpita.
"Amma, today the teacher praised me as I got the highest marks in mathematics in the whole class," said Varsha.
"Oh! Congrats, Varshu. What about you, Vansh?" Arpita asked, looking at Vansh.
"I got 75 marks, Amma," said Vansh.
"That's good, Vansh. You have improved compared to your last test," said Arpita, making him smile.
"My math tutoring helped him, Amma," Varsha said, giggling.
Vansh gave her a tight-lipped smile and said, "Thank you, math Mathe."
Varsha looked at him narrow-eyed, while Arpita chuckled, looking at them.
"What about the other subjects?" asked Arpita.
"Your son has, as usual, topped in science, and for the rest of the subjects, we almost got the same marks," said Varsha.
"Congrats, Vansh," said Arpita. Vansh smiled at her and said, "Thanks, Amma!"
Arpita looked at Varsha and asked, "What about your science marks, Varshu?"
"I have got 72 marks, Amma," said Varsha.
"Even your marks improved; good," said Arpita.
Varsha made a bow to Vansh and said, "All thanks to this, science Pitamah."
Vansh giggled and said, "God bless you, my child."
Varsha hit his head and said, "Don't forget that I'm older than you."
Vansh rolled his eyes and said, "Abba, Rakshasi (devil). You are just a few minutes older than me, not some years."
Varsha grinned and said, "So, what? I'm born first."
