Author's POV:
Arpita entered her 7th month a few days ago. She stood in front of the vanity mirror in a bathrobe, caressing her baby bump. She has put on a lot of weight, and her morning sickness has become intense. She stopped eating junk food, as the doctor suggested, and she also didn't want to risk her babies health or her own. Moreover, her husband wouldn't allow her to even smell them. Only she knows how she is controlling herself from eating the food she craves. That doesn't mean that she doesn't eat the food she craves, but it's only once a week after buttering her hubby a lot and making a lot of puppy faces.
She stopped going to the office because she didn't want to take a risk. Carrying two lives inside her is definitely taking a toll on her, and she would get tired easily. And her backache is the worst of all. She would sometimes end up crying, unable to control the pain. Every night, Yash would massage her swollen feet and read stories before going to bed. Or sometimes he would talk with the babies.
Her morning has changed a lot. She would do yoga for half an hour under the guidance of her hubby dear. Then, after freshening up and eating a healthy breakfast, she will sit with Radha and Raghu, listening to the Ramayana or Bhagavad Gita that Radha recites. In the evening, she would walk in the garden with Raghu and Radha.
After Janaki and Jai left for their home, Rishi and Sakshi came and stayed with them for a week. She pampered Arpita a lot. She cooked her favourite food and used to massage her legs every morning, sharing her pregnancy-related tips and her experience while she was pregnant with Maya and Nandan. Arpita wanted to ask her how she had felt during her first pregnancy when she was pregnant with Abhiram, her elder brother. But Arpita stopped herself because she didn't want to remind Sakshi about those bittersweet memories of her life.
She is truly enjoying this pregnancy phase. Of course, it's hard, but thinking about the two lives that were growing inside her, she couldn't help but feel thankful. She still couldn't believe that she was going to give birth to her babies, the symbol of Yash and her love.
She is going to her maternal home today. Her brother and her mother are coming to take her there. They planned to conduct her baby shower before she entered her sixth month but couldn't because Raghu fell ill. His BP and sugar levels dropped, and he fainted two times. He was under the observation of doctors for two days, and the doctor suggested he take proper rest and eat healthy food.
So, they dropped the plan for a baby shower, though Raghu was against it. Arpita and Yash told him that nothing mattered to them more than his health. So, they have planned to hold it after a few days as her seventh month is going on.
"Aren't you ready yet?" Yash asked, coming inside the room.
"Nope! Why don't you help me?" Arpita asked, turning around.
"Fine! But please do the honours of wearing your clothes," said Yash.
She went towards him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and whispered, "Why don't you do that too?"
