After some time, Diya and Taara were seated on the stools. Varsha sat on the left of Diya as thoti-pellikuturu, while Sahastra sat on the left of Taara.

Laxmi and Ragini applied vermilion to Taara's and Diya's foreheads. Ragini took a little bit of coconut oil and applied it lightly to her hair and on her hands. She then took nalugu and applied it to her face and hands. She then repeated the same to Varsha.

"Amma," Varsha said, making a bad face as Ragini applied nalugu to her face.

"What happened, Varshu?" Diya asked her.

"Thish (this) ish (is) cool, Atta," Varsha said, wiping off the paste.

"Amma, just apply a little to her hands," Diya told Meera.

Later, Laxmi did the same to Taara and then to Sahastra. All the elders repeated the same procedure and gave Aarti to four of them.

Surya looked at his sister, who was smiling as the photographer was capturing her photos. He mentally chuckled, looking at her, as she wasn't a big fan of all these rituals. He smirked and looked at Pranav, who was lost in Siri, who was teasing Varsha. He hit his head and poked him, making him look at him irritated.

Pranav glared at him and asked, "What?"

"You can admire your little one later; first, listen to me," Surya said, rolling his eyes, and he whispered something in Pranav's ears.

"Amma, shee, Pinni is theashing (teasing) me," Varsha said, pouting while looking at her mother.

"Arey, what did I say? I'm just saying that we have to search for a groom for our Varshu now, as she has already become thoti-pellikuturu. Soon, she will become pellikuturu (bride), so we have to search for a pellikoduku (groom), right?" Siri said, smiling mischievously.

"Ah! That's not necessary, Siri Bangaram. She already has someone special. Am I right, or am I right?" Sravya said with a cheeky smile.

"Oy! She is just three years old, and you are talking about her, someone special, and her marriage. My daughter will not go anywhere. She will stay with me," Arpita said, hugging Varsha.
