Author's POV:

Arpita opened her eyes and looked around. Her eyes fell on Suhaas and Yash, who were sleeping on the bed beside her, cuddling each other. She laughed, looking at them. The bed is too small for their giant bodies. She looked at her flat belly and remembered her babies. She looked at the cradles beside her to see her babies, but got panicked upon seeing the empty cradles.

She removed the IV and got off the bed. She hissed in pain because of the stitching and sat on the bed. Yash woke up with a jerk, listening to her.

"Why did you wake up? You could have called us, right? And why did you remove the IV?" Yash asked, going towards her.

He inserted the IV again and helped her sit properly.

Arpita looked at him teary-eyed and asked, "Where are our babies, Yash? Why aren't they here? Nothing happened to them, right? Are they fine?"

Yash held her hand and asked, "Aru, calm down first. Our babies are fine. They aren't there with us because they are in the NICU. You know, right? They were born prematurely and are underweight. So, they have to be under observation. Trust me, Aru. They will be fine."

Arpita hugged him and burst out crying. Yash let her cry her heart out. He was caressing her hair and kissing her forehead. Suhaas, who had woken up, looked at them and sighed. He knew what they were going through, especially Arpita.

Arpita didn't understand whether to be happy that her babies were fine or sad that her brother was arrested. She would have been happy if that woman had cancelled her engagement or broken up with Arjun. But that woman pointed at her brother's character and made him stand in front of the world as a culprit. She called her brother a womaniser, a drug addict, a rapist, and a characterless man. She shamelessly blamed her brother when all he had done was love that woman with all his heart. She will never forgive that girl for doing that. Chytra! She neither got any good vibes from her from the start nor felt her to be true.

She sighed. What's the use of crying over the split milk? She knows her family must be trying their best to bring Arjun out. But she still didn't understand how he took drugs. Or was he drugged without his knowledge? What if he took them with his knowledge? She shook her head, trying to erase such thoughts. She trusts him, and she knows that he is innocent. She knows that her brother can never do such things.

She took a deep breath. She wants to see her babies. She wants to hold them in her arms and feel them to her heart's content.

"Can I see our babies, Yash?" Arpita asked, breaking the hug.

"I need to ask the doctor," said Yash.

Arpita nodded her head and leaned her head on Yash's shoulder.

"Shall I bring coffee?" asked Suhaas.

"Yeah! Bring milk for Aru," said Yash.

Suhaas nodded his head and moved to the canteen. Yash sat on the bed and took Arpita into his arms. She laid her head on his chest and sat there silently, listening to his heartbeat.
