"All right, we're on the clock. Second we engage those droids, they're gonna be all over us." Mayfeld says once Cordelia and Din join the group. The pair glance at each other as they draw their matching blasters, nodding to tell the other that they're ready.
"I know the drill." Din says.
"Bio trackers activated. I've got eyes." Zero says over the comms.
"All right, let's go." Mayfeld says, leading the way through the halls. They stay alert, keeping an eye on the prisoners watching them from their cells.
"I don't like this." Din says, tugging Cordelia closer to his side.
"You always were paranoid." Xi'an says. Cordelia rolls her eyes and brushes her hand against Din's.
"Is that true, Mando? Were you always paranoid?" Mayfeld mocks. As soon as the words are out of his mouth he's scared by a prisoner knocking against the door to their cell. Xi'an snarls at him, then chuckles along with Burg.
"Approaching control room. Make a left at the next juncture." Zero says. Mayfeld peeks around the corner and waves the group forward. Cordelia sticks close to Din on the side of the hallway as Burg and Xi'an move down the middle.
The beeping of a droid catches their attention, the group pointing their weapons at it. Once they realize it's only a mouse droid, they lower them.
"What? It's just a little mousey." Burg says. He grabs his blaster and holds it behind his back as he reaches towards the droid with his other. "Come here, little mousey." Mayfeld calls his name to try to stop him, but Burg ignores him and inches towards the mouse droid as it backs away. "Mousey, come here. Come here." The droid speeds down the hallway and he straightens with a frown. He raises his blaster and shoots the droid.
"No! Burg, what are you doin'?" Mayfeld scolds. Burg turns to him.
"What?" He says. Suddenly, security droids round the corner.
"Intruder alert. Open fire." The droid says and the droids raise their blasters. Din pulls Cordelia behind her as they move towards the wall and cover. The group tries to shoot at the droids, but are unable to.
"We're too exposed here." Xi'an says.
"If they get a signal out, it's not gonna matter." Mayfeld says. The blaster on his back comes out and fires over his shoulder at the droids. Cordelia moves to shoot at the droids when Din grabs her hand.
She looks at him and he gestures with his helmet for her to join him. She tightens her grip on his hand and lets him lead her away from the others. They move around the ship so they come out behind the droids.
"Stay back and cover me." He tells her. She rolls her eyes and walks past him towards the droids. Din quickly follows her and the two each take out a droid before the others notice. Cordelia takes out another one when she notices one pushing Din into the corner.
She slips the knife off her belt and quickly stabs the droid. It crumples to the ground and Din quickly spins them around, pinning Cordelia into the corner. The blaster bolt bounces off his beskar and Cordelia quickly peeks around and shoots the droid. They move away from the wall and take out another droid together. The last one approaches and Din hooks it around the neck with his grappling hook. It lands on the ground and starts to get up when he yanks, ripping its head off.
Two more security droids round the corner and Din presses Cordelia into the other corner, shielding her from the blaster bolts. Din shoots the closest one with his flamethrower and it falls to the ground. He grabs its blaster and uses it to take out the last one. He moves towards Cordelia, inspecting her for any injuries.
