Cordelia stands with Din, watching the foundlings as they train in combat. Grogu stands at the edge of the water, having grown bored of watching them and wandering away to play. Pandora is strapped to her mother, facing outward so she can watch the training too. Cordelia chuckles as Din shouts out directions to the younglings training.

Pandora squeals as she hears his voice, reaching for him. Din chuckles and takes her from Cordelia, cradling her in his elbow. She coos happily, taking her Wookiee doll from her mother. She starts chewing on it as Din looks around for Grogu.

He spots him playing near the water, grabbing one of the crabs surrounding him. Din wraps his other arm around Cordelia, and they make their way towards him. He crouches next to his son, making sure Pandora is comfortable as he does.

"Put down the rocks, kid. It's time that you learn with the other foundlings." He tells him. Cordelia rests her hand on his shoulder, silently supporting him. "Playtime's over."

Grogu walks towards his mom, reaching his hands towards her. She chuckles and lifts him into her arms. She smiles proudly at him, knowing he's ready to begin training to learn to be a Mandalorian like his father.

"I'm gonna need you to focus." Din says as he leads the way towards the other foundlings. They stop a few feet away and swap children so now Din carries Grogu and Cordelia carries Pandora. He sets Grogu on the ground as the Mandalorian overseeing the training calls for the next challenger.

Grogu coos and watches the two foundlings wrestling with each other. Eventually, one is able to flip the other onto the ground and he's deemed the winner. The kid spots Grogu and they consider each other as Bo-Katan approaches.

"Are you two sure this is a good idea?" She asks.

"If he is ever to rise from foundling to apprentice, he must learn." Din replies. Bo looks to Cordelia, who shrugs, trusting her husband's judgement. "Judge!" He calls. The Mandalorian approaches, stopping between them and the previous winner. "He challenges."

"He is too small." The Mandalorian tells him.

"We are his wards." He says, gesturing to himself and Cordelia. "Proceed."

"What weapon?" He asks.

"Let the challenged decide." Din answers. The judge turns to the foundling, Ragnar.

"Darts." He says.

"Bring the training darts." The judge orders. Another Mandalorian walks away to grab them.

"Why doesn't he wear a helmet?" Ragnar asks.

"He is too young to speak the Creed, and so, too young to wear a helmet." Din explains.

"Then he's too young to fight." He says. Grogu coos, turning to look at his parents.

"Someone sounds scared to fight." Cordelia mutters, protective of her son and knowing he's stronger than he looks. Bo chuckles quietly, clearing her throat to disguise the sound.

"'One does not speak unless one knows'. Is that not the Creed?" Din tells the kid.

"Well, I know." He replies.

"Perhaps this lesson is for you, then." He says.

"The training darts." The Mandalorian tells the judge as he returns, passing the case to him. He kneels, setting the case down and opening it.

"Fighters, arm yourselves." He says. He holds one set out and Ragnar takes it. Bo takes the other and kneels in front of Grogu. Cordelia joins her as she straps it to his small wrist.

"Don't worry. My dad was the same way. He's just proud of you. You take it easy on him, kid." She says.

"Aunt Bo's right. Your dad and I are proud of you. Show him that you can fight." Cordelia tells him. Pandora coos and reaches for him. Grogu grabs her hand and coos back. Cordelia smiles at the interaction before standing and moving back to Din's side. He wraps his arm around her, pulling her into his side.

"'Aunt Bo'?" She asks. The two chuckle, and Cordelia pats her arm.

"Oh, don't pretend like you don't love it." She replies. Bo sighs and shakes her head, acting annoyed even though she's secretly pleased at the title.

The trio turn their attention back to the challenge as the judge explains the rules. Grogu turns back to his parents, who crouch down to talk to him.

"Squeeze your first to launch the darts." Din explains. Grogu coos. "You'll be fine." Cordelia rolls her eyes and smacks his side before turning back to Grogu.

"We've taught you a lot, but don't forget what Luke taught you as well. You've got this." She tells him. They stand and Bo shifts closer to them.

"He doesn't know how to fire darts?" She asks.

"Like Delia said, he's got this. Trust us." He answers.

"Ready." The judge says, stepping back. "Begin!"

Ragnar fires, hitting Grogu in the chest. He looks down at the paint on his clothes as the judge calls the point. Grogu coos and looks at his parents again. Pandora whines and starts to squirm, not liking her brother's discomfort.

"Don't look at me. Look at him." Din tells him as he takes Pandora and settles her against his chest. She calms, instantly soothed by his presence.

"Keep your eyes on your target." Cordelia adds. He turns back to Ragnar as the judge calls for them to get ready.

"Begin!" He calls. Ragnar fires, hitting Grogu again. The judge calls the point as Din kneels down next to his son, cradling Pandora to his chest as she begins to fall asleep.

"Grogu, I've seen what you can do. It's okay. Show them." He says. Grogu looks to Cordelia, who nods. He coos and turns back to Ragnar.

"Ready. Begin!" The judge shouts. Ragnar fires, missing as Grogu jumps into the air. He flips over him, then back again. Grogu fires three times, hitting Ragnar in the chest. "Three points. Winner!"

"There you go." Din celebrates. Cordelia cheers, kneeling next to Grogu. He coos and jumps into her arms. She kisses the top of his head before pulling back to look at him.

"Good job, Grogu. Just because others can't use the Force like you, it doesn't mean you can't use it. We've all got different strengths and weaknesses." She tells him. He coos and she smiles.

"Did you teach him that?" Bo asks.

"Not me. It was actually Delia's brother-in-law." He answers.

"'One doesn't speak unless one knows'." Paz tells his son. Ragnar sighs and walks away. Cordelia returns to Din's side with Grogu.

"Great job, kid." He says.

They look up as they hear a screech, spotting a large creature flying towards Ragnar as he stands alone. It snatches him in its claw before taking off, flying away from them. Din quickly passes Pandora to Cordelia, pulling out his blaster. Paz pushes his arm down.

"No blasters, it will kill the child. Follow it to its lair." He tells him.

Din turns to Cordelia, and she nods, cradling their children to her chest.

"Go. I've got them." She says.

He nods and takes off after Paz. A few moments after the group of Mandalorians have disappeared, Bo's ship flies overhead, chasing after the creature as well.

Cordelia holds her children closer, hoping she'll never have to deal with the pain of them being taken from her.
