Din lands the ship inside Boba's hangar before climbing out, helping Cordelia down after him. They approach the gamorrean guard.

"We're here at the request of Fennec Shand." Din tells him. The guard nods and leads them through the building. They enter the room, finding Boba and his group around a map.

"This is the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, and his wife, Cordelia Djarin." Fennec introduces when she spots them standing at the edge of the room. Boba nods at them before turning back to the group. "Thanks to them and Krrsantan, we now have enough experienced muscle to act as enforcers. The Mods have done a thorough job of surveying the streets, but we lack the numbers to cover our territory if an all-out war comes. We need foot soldiers."

"We might be able to help with that." Din tells her.

Cordelia climbs out of the ship after Din, looking around for Cobb. She shifts closer to Din as a man approaches them.

"You want to park your starship, you got to do it out there in the flats." He tells them.

"We're looking for Marshal Vanth." Din replies.

"I don't think you heard what I said." He says.

"I heard you." He responds. Cordelia rolls her eyes at them, crossing her arms over her chest and opening her mouth to interrupt their little standoff.

"I'll take it from here, Deputy." Cobb says as he joins them. He smiles at the couple as his Deputy walks off and Cordelia returns his smile with her own. "He's new. Still a bit jumpy." He explains. He points to their ship. "Is that a Naboo starfighter?"

"That's what it started off as." Din says.

"We haven't seen you for a while. How have you been?" Cordelia asks.

"More careful." He replies, making her laugh. "Where's the little guy?"

"Back with his own folk." Din answers, taking Cordelia's hand and giving it a squeeze.

"That's too bad. I guess we both lost something we were fond of." He says.

"Can we buy you a drink?" He asks.

They move inside to the cantina, Din and Cordelia sitting at the table while Cobb gets his drink after explaining the situation.

"I still don't see what all that's got to do with me." Cobb says, taking his drink and approaching the table.

"I need you to lead a garrison. Your people are good fighters and there's plenty of credits in it for them too." Din explains.

"The peace is intact, Mando. We took out that dragon. My people don't want to fight no more." He replies.

"Your town might be good for now, but it's all part of the same planet. We need good people to step up or the spice is bound to come through these parts." He tells the Marshal.

"As long as I'm here, that's not a problem, so why should they risk their lives for this Boba Fett?" Cobb asks.

"Mos Pelgo might be good right now-" He starts.

"Freetown." The bartender, Taanti, interrupts.

"What?" He asks.

"It's called Freetown now." Cobb explains.

"We changed the name. Suits us better." Taanti adds. Cordelia smiles at him, then Cobb.

"I like it." She tells them.

"Well, we fought side-by-side with the citizens of Freetown, and they're brave people, and the Pyke Syndicate has us outnumbered, and we need your help." Din says.

"The town wants no part of it. That's a city folk fight." Taanti responds before moving away to clean glasses.

"Is that what you say too, Marshal?" He asks.

"We're square, you and me." Cobb replies. Cordelia sighs.

"We wouldn't be asking for help if we didn't need it. We don't want to disturb your peace, but we can't deal with the Pyke Syndicate on our own." She tells him.

"I didn't think you were one to back down from bullies." Din adds. Cordelia rolls her eyes, leaning against the back of the booth, knowing anything she contributes to the conversation will be ignored in favor of their banter.

"See, that's what I like about you, Mando. That big smile of yours lets you get away with anything." He replies.

"There's no easy way to ask for a favor." He says. Cobb sighs.

"I'll tell you what. Things are tough around here, but I'll see what I can do." He tells Din.

"If you two are done flirting, we should probably get back." Cordelia teases. Cobb chuckles, shaking his head as they leave the table. He and Taanti follow them out of the cantina, watching as they climb into their ship and fly away.

Cordelia walks into the room and looks around for Boba. She spots him talking to Fennec and approaches, smiling at them when she reaches them.

"Hi, Boba. I thought we could talk and maybe clear the air about our past." She says. He nods and they walk over to the empty corner of the room.

"Fennec should have told you, but what's in the past is the past." He tells her.

"She did tell me, but I just wanted to explain a little." She replies. He nods, gesturing for her to continue. "I want to start with I also have no hard feelings about what happened as we were both doing what we had to do to survive. I also want to apologize for Han and what happened. It's no excuse, but he couldn't see at the time, and all he could hear was Lando and me screaming for help."

"I understand." Boba says. He turns and walks back to continue his conversation with Fennec. Cordelia frowns and walks out of the room, heading towards the room given to her and Din.

When she enters, Din sits on the bed, cleaning his armor. He looks up as she sighs, throwing herself down next to him.

"I think I just made things even more awkward than they already were." Cordelia groans. He chuckles, setting his armor aside to face her.

"I'm sure it isn't as bad as you think." He says. She looks at him and sighs.

"I was trying to explain my side and when I was pausing to take a breath, he told me he understood and walked away. Things are worse." She explains. Din pulls her to his chest, rubbing her back.

"I hate to be the one to break this to you, Riduur, but not everyone likes to talk about the past or their feelings." He tells her.

"I know that. I just wanted to tell him that I understand and maybe get some closure for both of us." Cordelia says.

"Maybe he's already got his closure. Maybe it's best to leave the past in the past this time." He replies. She groans.

"Fine. But I'm definitely talking to Han about this when we see him next." She tells him. Din chuckles, kissing the top of her head.

"Soon." He assures. She nods, snuggling closer and closing her eyes.

"Goodnight." She mumbles, already half asleep. He looks at her as she falls asleep, wrapping the blanket around them and turning the lights off before joining her.
