**
the date was march 14, 1986. i sat at the local bar titled, 'swayze's' as i downed brandy after brandy. i had been there as a guest for whatever reason, but i didn't seem to mind. i didn't mind taking time away from my already boring drawn out life.

"let's just try to have a good evening, now hm?" george whispered while holding olivia closely to him.

she nodded while looking briefly into his dark eyes, "of course."

he smiled and kissed her lips softly, before pulling off, "want a drink?" he asked while she nodded,

"yeah, i'll go find us a table." and with that she walked off.

he made his way over to the bar as he stepped beside me. i glanced over my shoulder, looking at him as he looked back, smiling politely while he waited for the bartender,

"hello there." i beamed with a soft smile.

"hello." he replied with a short nod.

"what brings a dapper gentleman like you here?" i asked, placing my poison down.

he chuckled a bit, taking a seat, "i'm on a date with my wife. i'm just getting some drinks for the mrs's and i." he grinned, sticking his hand out, "i'm george by the way and you are?"

i smiled a bit at his words while i shook his hand, "i'm julia." i winked.

"now what brings you here?" he asked while the bartender approached,

"what can i get you?" the young man asked.

"two of your strongest please?" george asked while the young man nodded, walking off to make them.

"sorry darling, now what brings you here?" george asked while i blushed at his term of endearment. i cleared my throat and shrugged a bit, sipping my drink again,

"i came here with someone as a guest, but that person's nowhere to be found." i replied.

"bummer." george whispered, his dark inviting eyes searching mine.

i blushed behind my glass while i placed it down again when the bartender brought the drinks up, "here you are."

"thank you kind sir." george replied glancing at me, "i'll see you around julia." he grinned while i nodded,

"oh uh yeah! enjoy your wife and your drinks." i beamed gently.

"thanks you enjoy your night as well." and with that he went off to find olivia.

as the night went on, george and olivia seemed to be enjoying one another's company more by the minute. they seemed very much in love and there was nothing no one could do to separate the two.

i stayed at the bar. i wasn't necessarily drinking my life away, moreso observing everyone around this place. i settled on georges table as i swore i caught him glance at me with a wink. i immediately turned my head back to my hands as the bartender approached again,

"want another?"

"no i'm fine. i've just about drank half your bar anyways." i laughed while the young man smiled,

"i'm nate." he grinned

"nice, i'm julia." i replied as i got caught into small talk with the man. it wasn't long before i felt a presence beside me, it was george.

"is the bar still opened?" he asked while nate glanced at him,

"of course it is! what can i get you?" he smiled.
