i owned a local smoke shop. it was a hotspot for the stoned customers who were more interested in fucking around with me rather than purchasing a vape or cigarette.

i boringly stacked the shelves behind me while i waited for more customers to help sail my day along. occasionally, a few would pop in here and there but there really wasn't anything consistent.

a few hours passed by as i looked at my watch. the time read, '3:30'. i rolled my eyes when a customer walked into the shop with longer straight hair and a beard.

"hello welcome to asco smoke shop! how can i help yo- holy shit." i mumbled the last part catching a glimpse of this dark haired skinny man. my face reddened a bit, watching this man peruse my store. he occasionally took things off the shelf, examining them before placing the items back. i thought about walking out onto the floor to see if he needed help, but i also wanted to let him shop.

i eventually decided on walking onto the floor, strolling my way up to the handsome stranger.

"finding everything ok?" i questioned clasping my hands together, smiling warmly at the younger man. he glanced over at me with a slight nod.

"yes darling everything is fine." he replied flashing a toothy grin. i blushed at him a bit before turning around on my heel returning to my cash register.

a few minutes flew by when the mysterious man from before walked up to the register. i readjusted my posture, watching his spindly fingers slide the items in front of me. it intrigued me to say the least. i raised my brow nervously looking up to meet his lingering gaze. God damn! was he attractive! i gulped submissively, fidgeting with his purchase.

"you ok darling?" he remarked watching me intently.

"o-oh yeah i-i'm fine." i stammered.his scouse accent making me weaken a bit in the knees. i closed my eyes to compose myself, but he only made it worse by continuing to speak.

"julia, hm? is that your name?" he asked glancing over my name tag.

this made me open my eyes a bit, "how do you know my name?"

"your name tag beb." he winked.

all he had to do was wink at me like that, making me almost swoon over. i gnawed on my bottom lip, huffing out the unthinkable, "you are so god damn attractive."

awestruck took over his face while he gleamed, "oh yeah?" he simpered

i gave a coy nod before finally mustering up enough courage to scan this poor man's items, "$4.75 please." i whispered.

george pulled out his wallet, pulling out a ten, sliding it to me. i took it graciously,

"thank you." i smiled.

"you're welcome. by the way, my name is george. forgot to tell you that." he winked.

"oh that's quite alright! nice to meet you george." i grinned.

"you too julia." he replied glancing around my store one last time before finally resting his russet eyes on me. i had finally looked up, our dark iris's meeting.

"h-here's your change." i smiled handing it to him.

he grasped it, as well as my hand, before winking at me, "come out with me tonight."

"i-i can't." i fibbed

"it wasn't a question." he winked, shattering my heart.

"ok. what time? where?"

"here's my number. i'll pick you up at 7 and we'll go to dinner, a motel." he wriggled his left eyebrow.

i blushed, "perfect! see you then."
