TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: A FIGHT! ENJOY!!~JULIA :p
****
we sat around the table, laughing over played out jokes, and new stories as he kept the bewitching brunette by his side. his long spindly fingers grasped the wine glass, taking a long sip while he stared at my companion mouthing off another old story.

his date for the night, olivia, leaned over towards my ex boyfriend of five years, george, whispering something unbeknownst to me and my date, samuel. i watched her like a hawk, before george glanced back at her with a wink,

"can't we wait a bit longer liv? i'm having a blast conversing with julia and sam!" he whined.

"well, i just want you to have enough energy for tonight, that's all." she blushed.

"oh, trust me, i will." he winked.

i sat there internally throwing up. i readjusted myself in my seat, pulling at my already too tight dress, before making a snide remark, "real classy." i whispered.

george and olivia both glanced over at me. i could tell she wasn't thrilled about me being at this dinner, and in a way, i wasn't thrilled either. my relationship with george had just ended three months prior and it was rather still fresh. sam gazed over at me before leaning towards my lips.

george watched his every move cautiously as he saw sam kissing me tenderly. i kissed him back as george cleared his throat, making sam and i separate,

"so, what is it you do again sam?" george questioned, eyeing him up and down.

i noticed george's sudden mood change while i subtly smirked to myself. sam picked up his don pérignon, taking a deep long sip before answering george,

"i'm in finance george. what's it you do again?" he replied, looking at the wavy haired man.

"music. i'm putting out a new album soon. it's called thirty three and a third." he proudly boasted.

"georgie's really excited about it! aren't ya babe?" olivia gushed.

"i am." he winked, sliding his hand up her thigh, squeezing it.

i watched their little exchangement, so badly wanting to rip my eyes out! i kept my composure of course. sam smiled a bit to himself, before chuckling,

"cute title."

"thanks samuel."

"yeah, you're welcome."

"well, this has been fun..." i trailed off, wanting this futile dinner to be over with. it had started off fun, but once i saw olivia making moves towards my ex, it's like i began spiraling out of control. i just wanted to leave.

"actually julia, you haven't really spoken much about yourself. tell me, how's sam treating you?" george inquired, knowing damn well samuel was right there.

"he treats me fine george." i whispered, looking down a bit.

"better than i did?" he asked. it was here olivia and samuel shot their glances up at george.

i did too as olivia looked over at him, "ok, you've had too many drinks." she chuckled awkwardly.

"no, i haven't. i have had a fair amount of drinks, olivia. julia, please answer the question." he reiterated.

now, it was my turn to laugh awkwardly. i looked down before looking up, then in george's eyes, "you're drunk."

he was getting annoyed now. he slammed his hands on the table, "i'm not! i just don't appreciate how he's kissing you, holding you, looking at you!" he freaked out.
