"Tell me a little about yourself." said Scott and took a sip of his wine. "I'm a special victim detective. So are my parents and my older brother. I love my job, but sometimes it tend to be quite emotional. Especially when kids are involved or a school shooting occurred." I replied. "I understand." said Scott.
Our food arrived and we started eating. He told me that he used to live in Paris with his husband who was a famous fashion designer. But he moved to New York after his death. It became too painful to stay.
"You remind me of him, he had also blue eyes and a sweet smile." said Scott. "Thank you." I replied and blushed. "I really like you." he said. "I like you too." I replied. He put his finger under my chin and kissed my lips. The time stood still. This was the start of something wonderful.

I came home late. I passed Emily's room and she was awake. She had her favorite blanket around her and she was holding her jigglypuff in her arms. Emily was watching Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp. I sat down next to her on the bed.
"Honey, it's past midnight." I said. "I couldn't sleep." she replied. "It's okay." I said. "How was it?" asked Emily. "It was so wonderful, it was better than I expected." I said. "I'm so happy for you." she replied. "Thank you Lily." I said and kissed the top of her head. "I love you daddy." replied Emily and hugged me. "I love you too." I said.
