Arabella's pov
From the 22nd of May, the Arctic Monkeys' tour, for their new upcoming album started. Luckily also Major Mess was invited at the iTunes Festival, as well as the Arctic Monkeys, and after three months of not seeing each other, me and Alex slept together in his hotel room, to catch up all the time lost.
«Babe,» I said. «wake up, we are late.» I said on top of Alex, still sleeping wrapped in the white bedsheets.
«What time is it?» he mumbled with his eyes closed.
«Ten thirty.» I said.
In complete calm, he turned his head towards the bedside table and looked at the digital clock. «I knew you were lying,» he said, resting again the nape of his head on the pillow, closing his eyes. «now come back here.» he said opening his arms and waiting for me.
«No,» I said. «wake up, take a shower, dress up and we go.»
He sighed and rubbed his hands onto his face. «Why are you so press about it? It's just an album.»
«But I wanna hear it,» I said. «come on.»
«Give me just one kiss and I'll get up.» he said.
I leaned to give him a kiss, but he pulled me closer, falling on him. «I knew it.» I said, trapped by him.

He closed his eyes and fell back asleep; I also closed my eyes and when I opened them, he wasn't next to me anymore. It felt like a quick second.
I got up from the bed and walked in the living area of his hotel suit. Alex was standing next to a record player of the hotel; he smiled and raised his hand, showing me a CD, with an AM wave in white ink, on a black background. «You'll be the first person to hear our new album.» he said.
He handed me the CD and I opened it, seeing a pictures of the four of them. «Jamie looks so good here.» I said.
«What about me?» Alex asked.
«I can't tell you every day how much you look good, it's implied.» I said.
He smiled and I kissed him on the lips.
«Put it on.» I said approaching.
«No,» he said, taking the CD from my hand. «first we eat.»
«You eat,» I said, trying to catch the CD in his hand. «I listen to the album.»
He hid the CD behind his back. «Patience, darling.»

After asking him a thousand times to put the album, I gave up and I tried to speed him up while he was eating, so that we could listen to the album. «Finally.» I said once he finished.
«All right, okay» he smiled. «let's go.»
He approached the CD player and I sat on the couch, with my legs crossed.
«You already heard Do I wanna know? and R U Mine? so I think we can skip 'em,» he said. «you can understand on who's about the third song... or the rest of the album.» he said, before letting the CD start.
As he pressed the button, the CD player read the CD and he sat next to me. I stared at the CD player like there was something to see and Alex put his arms around me, pulling me closer.
A voice in falsetto sang "One for the road" and I unintentionally started smiling. I liked the song: the music, the lyrics, but most of all, the guitar solo. As the song was finishing with the chorus, Alex started speaking over it. «Prepare yourself for the next song.» he smirked.
With curiosity I waited for the fourth track. A guitar started playing and then, Alex's voice arrived. «Arabella's got some interstellar gator-skin boots
And a Helter Skelter 'round her little finger and I ride it endlessly
She's got a Barbarella silver swimsuit
And when she needs to shelter from reality she takes a dip in my daydreams» his voice was sexy and deep. The guitar in between the lyrics gave the song a twist. «My days end best when the sunset gets itself
Behind that little lady sittin' on the passenger side
It's much less picturesque without her catchin' the light
The horizon tries but it's just not as kind on the eyes» Alex kept staring at me, checking if I liked the songs or not. «As Arabella, oh
As Arabella
Just might've tapped into your mind and soul
You can't be sure» Alex sang the chorus. «Arabella's got a seventies head
But she's a modern lover, it's an exploration, she's made of outer space
And her lips are like the galaxy's edge
And her kiss the color of a constellation fallin' into place»
I felt so special in that very moment.
Again there was the chorus, to then get to the bridge. «That's magic» a voice in falsetto sang and I was sure it was Matt. «in a cheetah-print coat
(Just a slip) underneath it I hope
(Askin' if) I can have one of those
(Organic) cigarettes that she smokes
(Wraps her lips) 'round a Mexican Coke
(Makes you wish) that you were the bottle
(Takes a sip) of your soul and it sounds like»

After that part, a guitar solo started. I looked at Alex with my mouth slightly opened; the song was about me, or Alex had a type.
«God, I love you so much.» I said giving him a kiss.

The fifth track arrived, but Alex told me it wasn't much, because he wrote it when he was bored, so then we arrived at the sixth track and he told me it was "important" for our relationship. It was a ballad and Alex's voice fitted it perfectly. «So you're on the prowl wondering whether
She left already or not
Leather jacket, collar popped like Cantonna
Never knowing when to stop
Sunglasses indoors, par for the course
Lights in the floors and sweat on the walls
Cages and poles
Call off the search for your soul
Or put it on hold again
She's having a sly indoor smoke
And she calls the folks who run this, her oldest friends
Sipping a drink and laughing at imaginary jokes
As all the signals are sent, her eyes invite you to approach
And it seems as though those lumps in your throat
That you just swallowed have got you going»
Those lyrics remind me of the night we first actually talked to each other and the party after the Australian tour.
«She's a certified mind blower
Knowing full well that I don't
May suggest there's somewhere from which I might know her
Just to get the ball to roll
Drunken monologues, confused because
It's not like I'm falling in love, I just want ya
To do me no good
And you look like you could» the song continued. Another time, as the bridge arrived I felt like I was floating. «The look of love, the rush of blood
The "She's with me"'s, the Gallic shrug
The shutterbugs, the Camera Plus
The black & white and the color dodge
The good time girls, the cubicles
The house of fun, the number one
Party anthem, oh»
«I love it.» I said. «It's amazing... you're amazing.»
He blushed and looked away, with a smile tattooed on his lips.
We listened to Mad Sounds, Fireside, Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?, Snap Out of It and Knee Socks.

Alex stopped the CD, that made me thought was over. «I love Fireside so much... and the vocals in Snap Out of It... and Knee Socks is so addictive.»
He smiled. «Well thanks for giving me idea to write them.» he said. «There is one more left and I want you to listen carefully to the lyrics.» he said.
I nodded so he pressed again the button and sat back next to me. The music started and I waited for Alex's voice. «I wanna be your vacuum cleaner
Breathin' in your dust»
I turned around to look at Alex, who was looking at me. «You made I Wanna Be Yours your song?» I asked.
He nodded with a soft chuckle. «Your opinion about it made me love it... so I dedicate it to you, like the whole album.» he said.
With my eyes filled with love I got closer to kiss him. My attention got caught by a lyrics I didn't recognized. «Secrets I have held in my heart
Are harder to hide than I thought
Maybe I just wanna be yours
I wanna be yours»
«I wrote that part.» Alex said, seeing me confused.
Once the album was over, Alex looked at me. «So, what do you think?»
«That I love you.» I said.
«About the album?»
«It's great, I love it.»
