He is a Aquarius.

August Sigfrid Carlsson (or Karlsson) was born in Dagsås (near Varberg), Halland to Karl Magnus, a shoemaker (September 19th, 1844) at Dagsås, Varberg, Halland County, and Johanna Beata (née Andreadotter; September 28th, 1853 at Dagsås), Johansson, who had married in 1874. His known siblings were: Emma Charlotta (November 29th, 1875), Johan Albin (April 23rd, 1878), Selma Elizabeth (March 29th, 1880 - December 26th, 1880), Josefina Elisabet (November 1st, 1881), Gustaf Daniel (November 11th, 1886), Carl Ragnar (February 11th, 1889 - April 14th, 1889), Anna Sofia (May 21st, 1890), Karl Julius (January 3rd, 1893), Hulda Viktoria (March 21st, 1895), and Estrid Ingeborg (August 12th, 1896).

On December 27th, 1907, August was married to Julia Stenström (October 2nd, 1887) and they had 2 sons: Karl Johan (July 12th, 1908) and Gunnar David (July 13th, 1910). The family lived in a croft near Öströö castle in Dagsås.

Aboard Titanic/April 14th-15th, 1912:
August was travelling from Dagsås to a brother in Tower, Minnesota. He departed on April 1st and travelled from Copenhagen to Esbjerg on April 6th. From there he got a ship to England. He boarded the RMS Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger on April 10th, 1912.

Julia was pregnant and it was intended that she would follow with the children after a year when the baby was a few months old. August died in the sinking and his body was never found. The Mansion House Fund paid 2699.52 Kr (£148) to Julia and 875.52 Kr (£48) to his parents. 5466 Kr (£300) damage claims were also later paid to Julia, children, and parents. The large damage and support sums is explained by the fact that the family and probably also the parents were fully dependent on his income.

Aftermath:
When August died, Julia moved home to her parents in Rör. She gave birth to a son, Karl August, in September 19th, 1912. She also reportedly lost Karl Johan only days before. She met her 2nd husband, Karl Gustaf Karlsson in 1916. In 1917, she had a son named Helge and on September 11th, 1919 she gave birth to another child, Asta Johanna Elemina, her Kate husband was named as the father; Gustaf and Julia were unable to marry because August had not been officially declared dead, so Gustaf went to the priest to claim paternity (noted in the church records).

When he was officially declared dead on March 8th, 1920, the date of death was wrongly given as April 14th, 1912. Julia and Gusaf married on December 27th, 1920 coincidentally that same date as Julia's marriage to August, they would go on to have 6 more children. Since Gustaf had also been married once before and had 2 children with him in the estate and Julia had her 2 sons from the marriage with August, they had 12 children together. Julia died on December 18th, 1950.
