Song: Two Moons - Exo

And then she sped.

This was Hollywood movie in real life. He had no time to brace himself for the crazy turns and drifts as she roamed down one street after another without a blink of an eye. He could tell from her tight lips and the determination on her face that their pursuer closely followed. What he couldn't tell, was whether she was naturally left-handed or right-handed. She was driving the car like it was a rocket. Nothing could stop her, forget about the red lights. The steering wheel was like a continuation of her hand and she made it roll like a buffalo.

He thrust his body forward and landed half of it painfully on the passenger's seat, eliciting a startled yelp from her.

"Oh my god, get over."

"Trying here, ma'am, it's a little hard when you drive like we're on a r-r-rocket."

"Oh yeah? Darling, I dare say you just gotta keep your seatbelt fastened."

"Of course, or someone needs to call the doctor."

"For my bleeding hand, I presume." She raised her right hand and retorted as he finally made it to the passenger's seat in one piece.

"For my blood pressure, sweetheart."

She made a turn that had her car screech in agony. "I'm not sure that's necessary. You might not last that long, darling."

"Call me baby."

The ugly honking from their pursuer behind prevented her from throwing him a comeback right away.

"Damn it." She took a left turn onto a new street, frustration and anxiety preening her lovely face.

He took a look out the back of the car. Their pursuer had switched on high beam lights and was making it obvious the goal was to chase them down at all cost. No more gunshots were fired but the tension was as high as it could go. He wished he could do something to help the situation, but he didn't want to risk anything; he knew she needed all her focus on driving right now and any distraction might cost them their lives.

"I can shake them." She said in a low voice all of a sudden. "I can do it."

Her lips twisted a little in concentration as she cut the corner of a street and gained a good ten seconds from their pursuer due to that sweet maneuver.

"Nice," he murmured.

She drifted again at the next corner and threw another turn in between them and the car behind. Then before their pursuer could catch up, she swerved onto the next street once more. His heart pounded fast as he took in the widening gap between them and their chaser; the car behind could not keep up.

Her brows knotted together in concentration as they approached the next intersection, then without a flinch or an attempt to slow down, she swung them onto the cross street smoothly yet again. Perfect drift. Could you even do that with an automatic?! Where did she learn to drive like that? He looked over to her in admiration. The loss of uncomfortable headlights from behind indicated that they were now at least a several turns ahead of their unfriendly follower and he was genuinely and completely enthralled by her driving skills. It was a shame the movies always liked to show men driving handsomely in car chases; this pretty girl next to him was giving them a run for their money. And he found that terribly sexy.

She turned back to check the cleared frontier behind them as they booked down another street. He turned to look also though he already knew what he would see. Their pursuer was nowhere in sight. She had outdriven them. Like a boss.

By the time he turned back to face the front, her face was a triumphant sunshine and she flicked her eyes at him smugly, stars dancing so astronomically in her eyes they looked like two twinkling galaxies.

"Go ahead. You can say it." She practically sang that.

"Say what? You should've let me drive?" He grinned.

"Please. We'd have crashed twenty times if that were the case." She looked into the empty rearview mirror satisfyingly before she turned her eyes on him and smiled out slowly. "The praise in your eyes is almost good enough, baby. No need to be shy."

She curled her fingers at him and turned her eyes back to the road with a smile that was melting his heart. He closed his eyes hoping to retain this image forever.

"You are truly my hero." He smirked and drenched the compliment with sarcasm on purpose. This was needed for his own protection; he had already fallen for her hard enough without it, he wasn't sure if he could handle more of her ever-growing charms with no armor.

"My pleasure." She faked a bow and beamed. "Saving princesses has always been a passion of mine."

"Noble. I've always preferred saving . . ." He outlined her with both hands and leaned his head back against the headrest, a smile dangling at his lips. "The less fortunate."

"Says the lost sheep who needs me to help him get back." She rolled her eyes.

"Oh don't worry I'll pay upfront." He grabbed her forearm and the car swerved.

"What are you  . . ."

"What's your preference? Tell oppa, I'll make it unforgettable."
